Hungry Tiger — Restaurant in Yokosuka

Hungry Tiger is chain restaurant serving signature hamburgers and steaks. It’s pretty expensive but is uniformly good. I would say it is worth it but it’s too pricey to come often.

I would give it a 5 star but the new queuing system is a bit messed up. You have to apply for a ticket at the door. The English is pretty bizarre on the UI and had obviously never been checked by a native speaker. We were 7th in the queue so loaded up the waiting screen via the QR code and took a look at the the other shops. We could see that we were being close to be called so headed back to the shop. When we told the staff that we had been called the guy shirtily said to “wait in line”. After a couple of minutes we were shown to the table so don’t be put off by the bad attitude of the door staff. I’ve been wanting to try Hungry Tiger since it opened several months or so ago, and this past Sunday we finally went. It is located on the 9th floor in More’s City Mall, and there was about a 15 minute wait for lunch on Sunday around noontime. My daughter got the Hamburger (in bun), and I got the Spare Ribs while others at my table got Steaks/Combos. No one was disappointed! As an American who loves American BBQ, I was a little hesitant and skeptical about getting the Pork Spare Ribs, but they looked tempting. I took the plunge and ordered the Special Set 500g Pork Spare Ribs and was totally blown away by the slightly sweet yet smokey flavor!
