2/2022 Saturday lunchtime, us and one other couple. We chose the counter seats and enjoyed conversation with the chef as he put together the dishes. Very friendly and hospitable young family man determined to bring together the people and values and hearts of farmers, diners, all who are involved, through what he does. He will even close his shop for in-home catering (extra fee, obviously, but maybe for special events? or if you have small children? or if all the adults want to have wine?), as long as you have a kitchen. (So make a reservation or check the restaurant schedule beforehand!) Admittedly, portions are on the small side and you may not leave feeling stuffed (of course that isn’t healthy anyway), but get a taste of beautiful quality food that has taken hours to prepare… The chef’s dishes made me feel glad to be human, to be able to enjoy the variety of wonderful vegetables, fresh seafood and meats (mostly all from this area, which then makes me grateful that I live here) so pleasing to both eye and palate.
