Kapono & Chris opened a gem of a place for those craving local favorites from either Hawaii or Guam.
Small, family run hole in the wall that has many of the favorites. You can take out or dine in the trailer style atmosphere with a common seating area, surrounded by other bars and shops.
We got there right after opening so service was quick & efficient and food was literally hot off the grill!
We had the grilled chicken which was really flavorful and perfect with the Chamorro-finadene dipping sauce.
We also shared the tinaktak, a stewed blend of ground beef and pork with vegetables and a touch of coconut milk.
All plates are served with a ton of rice and a side of macaroni salad. Their unique twist on macaroni salad includes using corkscrew pasta instead of regular elbow macaroni. There's also a few pieces of Chamorro pickled cucumber, though we got an additional side order of cucumber to bulk up our veggies

The owners/employees are SO friendly and welcoming it reminds us of the warm hospitality you get back home. The service was GREAT, and the food OhMGeeee was SO mungi, SO delicious 😋
My son ordered their special that evening, which was the chicken Kadun pika, and it was the bomb, the PERFECT pika🔥 and the coconut milk YUM! 😋They ARE very generous with their servings. My DIL ordered their soup, and we also tried their empanadas, gof mungi!

Don’t forget to ask for some donne to make it even thay more homie and nostalgic! Can’t eat my food without spice! Their Kadun pika can do just the trick! Empanadas come with the option to have it spicy or not spicy! Winning!
