Saizeriya — Restaurant in Zama

Want some cheap "Italian" food, with decent amount of food and excellent taste? Then Saizeriya Italian Family Restaurant is for you. This branch location is about 10 minute walk behind Sagamino station.

For the budget conscious person, food and main course items prices ranges anywhere from 100 yen to 500 yen (decent amount and quantity for appetizers, soup, salad, pasta, pizza, etc., with other entrees costing 600 to 1000 yen... steak with sides costing only 1000 yen).

The Sagamino (Zama) branch is one of the largest, most spacious and airiest Saizeriya restaurant I've been to ( your clothes will not smell of food aroma after eating :-)).

They NOW ALSO ACCEPT credit cards ( Visa/Mastercard), IC Cards ( PASMO, SUICA, etc), in addition to cash.

They offer unlimited free refill softdrinks/ coffee/ tea bar for 300 yen alone or 200 yen if you buy any food item.

Serves alcoholic beverages ( if not under the state of emergency). In house brand red and white wine cost 1,100 yen for 1.5 liters, or option to order by pitcher 500 ml for 400 yen and 200 yen for 250 ml, or 100 yen per glass... which taste much better than brand name wines ( Caution: 12% alcohol content).

Recommend to try the squid ink pasta (400 yen), escargot (400 yen--one of only a few if not the only restaurant chain that serves escargot).

Also recommend Mussels (400 yen) and DEFINITELY RECOMMEND SPICY CHICKEN WINGS! (5 pieces for 300 yen, although not that spicy). Order the wings " Yoku yaki" style, (crispy well done)....it taste better and is much cheaper than the wings sold at any Pizza chain resto or at any american base food court which cost $1.20 each chicken wing.

Menu have English translations and descriptions for those who can't read and speak Japanese.

I would recommend to the owner to update their menu ordering system to a touch screen electronic tablet ( common to most well known family, fastfood and isakaya restaurants) to save time and money, and to streamline the ordering system and any updates on the menu.

As it stands right now, you write the code number of your order, including quantity, on a piece of paper, then give it to the staff, who will then re-write your order again on their order form ( duplicate process).

Also, having touch screen ordering system allows the restaurant to update the menu items and prices easily, especially seasonal menu items, instead of printing new menu everytime there's a new addition or old menu item that needs to be deleted, or changes in the price, which can add unnecessary expense for the restaurant.

PLEASE BRING BACK THE SPICY PORK RIBS...

First Visit: Great prices and the shrimp aspragus with cream sauce pasta is terrific. You cant beat the quality especially for the price.

Second Visit: The veggie pizza did not disappoint and the Doria with seafood is incredible.(Pictured) i also too the liberty of taking pictures of the menu for everyone to make the...

Nice Ambience and place to spend time with family/friends. It's open till midnight, so no rush to back in the evening. This place is cash only.

Talking about taste, I found it normal, nothing amazing; but based on price it's good here.
