La Verde — Restaurant in Zushi

We stopped here around 7:30pm on a Thursday and we’re pleased to be treated so kindly. The hostess/waitress showed my husband where to park, and directed us to the washroom when asked. Our mutual language barriers were easy with basic motions and phrases. We shared steamed clams and a salad to ward off our hunger as the two pasta entrees made our way to the table. It was a joy to watch the chef work in the kitchen from our table. We were happily refilled on our mizu decanter and offered dessert but it was time to leave. Nice, cosy restaurant with Italian setting. Just a 5 minutes walk from Zushi train station. Serves Italian cuisines with fresh ingredients. The grilled fish we ordered was a fresh local fish, done well and tastes superb. The seafood pizza is an exact replica of pizzas we ate in Venice before, and there are prawns, mussels, clams and squids. Lassagne was served pipping hot, really warms the stomach. Stewed pork ribs was cooked with cabbages. Too bad, no photography allowed...
