Hugo,s is a very pleasant and bar staff were nice. But I thought to busy to stop. My son talked me into going. Most people would love this place. I wont rush back as they dont sell Carling or Fosters. Either one would do. On the big side of giving thumbs up. If I could have shaken the chefs hand I would have. Theres a nice variety of food available here. However I am a bit fussy with food. I prefer to eat boring plain food. I ordered a plain burger and chips. Nothing else on my plate please. To my utter amazement the chef followed my instructions. There are not many chefs in Jersey can deal up a plain meal without throwing just one little sprig of rabbit food on your plate. Just for colour. So to the chef I say thanks 10/10 I gave this place 4 stars out of 5 as I know 95% of folk will love it along with there nice varied menu. And a chef...

Hugo’s is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a warm, inviting atmosphere that strikes the perfect balance between cosy and vibrant. The ambiance alone is worth the visit, stylish, comfortable, and full of character.

The food? Absolutely amazing. Every dish we tried was flavourful, fresh, and clearly made with care. Whether you’re in for a quick bite or a full meal, the menu has something for everyone, and it’s all top-notch.

What really sets Hugo’s apart is the staff. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, they make you feel right at home. You can tell they love what they do, and it makes the experience all the more enjoyable.

Highly recommend this place, whether you’re a local or just passing through, Hugo’s is...

We have been coming to Hugo’s for 6 years and it’s one of our favourites in Jersey. The staff are all marvellous, polite and accommodating, which is one of the reasons we go the there. Unfortunately, the kitchen staff are not. We asked for a simple modification to our meal, that is the eggs on the caesar salad to be hard boiled instead of the usual partly cooked and they refused. On a £20 salad, that was really not acceptable as it was the simplest request. Also, the quality of the food and portions have decreased and prices have increased exponentially, way above what the “inflation” might drive. We hope some of these issues will be addressed as we want to continue attending regularly and, please, take care of your staff as they are what makes the...

Hugo’s Bar & Eatery in St. Helier has always been a favorite of mine, but my recent visit was extra special. The staff, as always, were warm and welcoming. The highlight, however, was meeting Porter, their adorable new sausage dog. Though just a puppy, Porter has a knack for brightening everyone’s day. Petting him was the perfect addition to an already delightful experience. If you’re looking for great food and a cheerful atmosphere, Hugo’s—with its friendly team and charming new mascot—is the place to be. ♥️

We had a fantastic date night at Hugo’s. The food was not only delicious but also beautifully presented, adding to the overall dining experience. The atmosphere was cozy and intimate, with just the right balance of lively energy and relaxed ambiance, making it ideal for a romantic evening. The staff was attentive and friendly, ensuring we had everything we needed without being overbearing. Overall, it was a memorable night, and we’re definitely looking forward to returning soon!

The slow cook pull pork wrap and chicken wrap were great. The mac and cheese too. The caesar salad was a bit disapointing : a lot of salad but not much of caesar in it ;). A few anchovis, an egg and croûtons and you have to pay a bonus to have 4 pieces of chicken in it... (see photo) Appart for the salad everything was fine. We really appréciation to have ice cubes and lemons with tap water.
