Ordered around 5:10 online. Said it would be done in 11 minutes. I got there around 5:30 plenty of time for them to get it done. Get there and it's packed. Always packed for dinner by the way, and there's people waiting for door dash, Uber Eats, etc. I joined that line since I did an online order and yhere were three people total at that time. the guy working on online orders just looks like he hates his life. Poor guy did not want to work at the same speed as everyone else because of all the orders. One of the door dash people picking up an order looks like he was waiting forever. Tried to get the employees attention but fails, eventually was told they are waiting on a cheeseburger. Still waiting. I asked about my order and was told waiting on mashed potatoes. One other employee finally helps this guy. Which was nice because the first guy was ignoring everyone who was waiting on a pickup. They noticed the line for online order was piling up more so than those who ordered over the counter. I finally got my order around 5:50. The first guy had to pack the mash potatoes after I mentioned i was i was still waiting on my order. He was slow about it. Another guy took the gravy he packed so he had to pack a few more. They guy apologized for the delay but still hopefully they can do something about the service...
Read moreHaven't been back for a while. For fried chicken, my usual inclination is Poppey. Also, was craving for fried chicken and something rice based. Jollibee got that covered. I tried the spicy version this time. I like that it's spicy to my level. Fried chicken alone wasn't filling enough for me. Came rescued the steam rice with gravy. Just the perfect amount of food.
The 2 pcs Chickenjoy combo came with a pie. Decided to substitute it for the coconut pineapple pie since I loved coconut. To be honest, I was a little disappointed with my choice.
First of all, the pie wasn't sweet enough for me. It just wasn't the taste I'm looking for. The pie did came with coconut chunks but it's so overcooked that it was so soft yet it's sorted of tasteless. There was absolutely no hint of coconut at all. I couldn't taste it. Should have stayed with the original choice...but you gotta be adventurous sometimes to find out possible new like :-)
The fried chicken with rice & gravy was just the perfect something I was craving for. The pineapple juice here is surprisingly wasn't very sweet. I don't need more sugar or sweetness added to this meal.
All in all, decent fast food...
Read moreOn my work Slack, I asked my team to choose to save only one fast food fried chicken chain. Choices were KFC, Popeyes, and Jollibee. Popeyes barely won out. Oof.
But deep down, we all know Jollibee is the best right? Right??
This Jollibee is a standalone location compared to the one in Great Mall. While it probably has just about the same seating, this location feels like their turnaround time is faster. Parking is much easier here.
I tried the yumburger, spicy chicken joy, mashed potatoes, and a side of gravy. It's hard to describe Jollibee, so it's definitely juicier than KFC and I feel like it has a better crunch. The mashed potatoes are smooth, so I'm satisfied with it. The gravy is great. Pour the gravy on everything. Smother your problems with gravy. Gravy will make your life better.
My final rating is 4.5 rounded down. I took off half a star, because they could improve on their queuing area. It gets crowded fast, and despite a few small signs directing flow of traffic, everyone seems to want to go back out the way...
