"La Creme" Konditerlık Butigı — Restaurant in Astana

It is always very difficult to review spots like this one, mostly because, I kind of understand that I am not the usual sort of patron for this kind of establishment.

So here is the deal, this is a very beautiful cafe, well a chain cafe. Interior is roomy, people are kind, decorations are charming, even the desserts, as you can see in the photos, look amazing. In short, everything is cute. As a result, most people seemed to be on a date, which makes sense. I visited it with two other male friends for casual chat. The tea we got was, simply put, amazing. For the price, it could have been a bit more plentiful, but, I cannot complain. For two people, I think it was enough, for three, a bit of a stretch. A similar comment can be made about the dessert. This brie looking dessert was special, it was white chocolate filled with a sort of cream and very sour cherry paste. It looked amazing, tasted fine, not great not terrible, but for 3800 KZT, I certainly expected way more. It could have been bigger for starts, so that it could be shared easily, or that it could have had some more premium toppings. My friends had similar comments about their desserts too.

In short, if you are not looking for the highest quality of desserts and teas, but really just want to enjoy your meeting, which better be something more special than meeting your boys given the premium price you will pay, it is well worth a visit. I had much better desserts around town for around half the price, give or take, so I would not go back myself. However, with how nice everything is, you cannot really complain and say that it is...

Overall, the cafe is beautiful.

But the service is awful. We ordered take-out (Belgium waffles) today. We patiently waited for our order in front of the counter and we hadn't been offered any seats (apparently, there are no extra seats for the customers who order and wait for take-outs). Every time, we asked when the order would be ready, the staff told us "it will be ready in 5 min". But it turned out to be 30 min at the end.  Overall, I am pretty disappointed in La Cream. The composition of the Pokéball is well-balanced and harmonious. However, the quality of the pilaf was very disappointing.

And we tried three cakes and macarons in other location same cafe. the cakes were of good quality, while the macarons were the worst I've ever tried, the cok were so dry that my teeth hurt.

If you go here, I would not recommend the pilafés and macarons, and the other menus looked good and tasted good. And the store isn't as big...
