Casa Kibokobay — Restaurant in City of Kisumu

Spent a relaxing afternoon at Kiboko Bay, and it was an overall great experience. The views were absolutely perfect—sunlight streaming down, a light breeze, and a breathtaking scenery. The service was attentive, and the food was fantastic. We ordered a platter with a mix of fish, chicken, and mutton, and everything was incredibly tasty. The flavors were on point, and it really hit the spot.

One slight disappointment, though—despite offering to pay a little extra, we couldn't get the coconut fish added to the platter. They wanted us to order it as a separate dish! It’s something they might want to consider amending, as it would have been a perfect addition. Silly rule really because fish is already listed as an option in the platter and all that needs to be added to it is coconut cream.

Visited on a Sunday afternoon/evening with family. A group of four plus one child. Plenty of siting both indoors and out. Good setup for either family dinners or intimate one-on-one outings. No loud music, just the sound of the waves splashing against the shores of the lake.

The portions served were sizeable, good value at that price point. Good ambience; as is the case with most lakefront spots in Kisumu. Not at all crowded, by the way. I'd say we're were about four groups at the time?

Service was great, seeing as we had visited a day in advance to confirm the establishments suitability to our visit. Loved the detailed service and advise given on our survey check.

Casa Kiboko Bay offers a charming beachside experience with stunning views, especially of the amazing Kisumu sunset—undoubtedly one of the highlights.

Bar service was good. However, the coffee was a letdown; serving premixed instant coffee fell short of the otherwise high standards of the place. Consider a simple French press or a moka pot to make a decent cup...

Another concern is the allowance of loud music from personal portable speakers. This disrupts the peaceful ambiance that makes the location special, and it's something management should consider regulating.
