The Backyard Patio Eateries — Restaurant in City of Kisumu

Its a very modern and minimalist design restaurant. Its a bit difficult to get to. If you just walking the street you will miss it. Its on the street behind the Hindu temple in town close to the old Catholic University building. It's behind a shop front and you go down a narrow corridor to get to it. It's very pop up like with outdoor seating and tent like covering. The staff are very courteous and quick to serve. The menu is all fast food so if you looking for something home cooked then you wont find it here. I loooove the pizza and samosas. You could also give the bhajias a try or the burgers. They have some new sweet drinks and a revamped menu. I like that they are trying to renew themselves. There's usually some music in the background and the manager/owner always wants to know if you are okay. I have been here a few times and it's the perfect place for a date or easy meet up. It's a little removed from the town center and they have recently expanded the eating areas. It looks really cool at night. It's kinda romantic on a weekday evening if you wanna go on one of those easy and quiet weeknight dates. The staff have been there for sometime and pretty soon you get...

Backyard patio is a family run restaurant by the trio Shaireen, Imran, and Aunty Shamim. It consists of a great variety of food and beverage selections including yummy milkshakes. Backyard Patio is located at the back side of Pan palace and it has a very friendly and cosy ambience from the time you enter. You are greeted with a comforting smile from the host, who is very accommodating whether you are eating alone or with a big group. Every Saturday you are treated to specials of the day from either buffalo wings to bean burgers to southern fried chicken to bbq Tikka to bean burritos to strawberry lemonades to my all time fav - cannelloni and potato skins.

Shaireen never ceases to amaze me with my endless list of demands and requests.

Highly recommend the place for a quick meal, conference, girls catch-up, or even a bday dinner...

Do yourself a favour and visit this cozy little restaurant in Kisumu town, with something available to cater to every taste bud: from their savory starters, to tasty pizzas, to a variety of mains, including delicious vegetarian options, to refreshing drinks and must-have milkshakes, you will be spoilt for choice!

Their weekend specials vary from burgers to mexican dishes to freshly grilled delectables, and are not to be missed. The owners are always eager to cater to any special requests and the venue is available and ideal for private birthday parties and small events. Their take-away service is swift and efficient.
