Alleyways Beer Garden — Restaurant in City of Kisumu

It was my first day in Kisumu and I am sorry to say that honestly my experience was not the best. For the first 10 minutes we were given the wrong menu. After choosing, we were told it was not the one and we were given a completely different menu. On this one, the only vegetarian option was a margherita pizza, which I tried to order but I was told they didn’t have the veggies to make it (usually margherita pizza doesn’t have veggies on it so I couldn’t understand why they couldn’t make it with just tomato sauce and cheese). At that point I wanted to leave because there was nothing I could eat as a vegetarian and there they said veggie pizza was ok. I think they went to buy these veggies because I received a pizza with a lot of veggies on it, which tasted very good but it took 1 hour and 20 minutes from ordering. Alcohol free options are very limited. Ordered a cold passion juice and received a warm carton bottle of berry...

A hidden gem of a hangout in downtown Kisumu. Its behind the Kenya Power Office building in an alleyway. It's sorta a mix of restaurant and a club without being exclusively either. If you are looking for that kind of experience then this is your place. The interior design is creative, colorul and inviting. I like the cushioned high chairs draped in colorful local fabric. It has a very interesting crowd. Locals, foreigners, rastas..It's a great place to be. The waiters are very friendly and try to get to you quickly. However, your food will take ages especially when it gets busy. The food isn't great honestly. My chips was quite crunchy. However, I don't think this is a place you go to for the food. I think more the atmosphere. Getting the bill can also take a while. This is a place that's not talked...

Alleyways is amazing. Night life proper. Parking is adequate but on the street and you have to give a little something so your car can stay safe. I love the food entrance way with all the delicious little bites before you get into the club The club itself is small inside so get there early if you want to sit inside with all the vibes. The music is amazing and the service is average. If you look like you'll spend money then the service is better but if you actually spend money then service is great.. there's sitting space outside which doubles up as a smoking zone but the fresh air is everything there.
