The Manor 540 — Restaurant in Nairobi

Where do I start? Unfriendly and slow service - they simply don't care. It's such a hostile environment. For example; I asked for the wifi password - she didn't even stop to say it, I had to make out whatever she said as she passed to go somewhere behind me to no customers at all. When we asked for the food, mind you, we were there for AN HOUR they were so disorganized asking each other questions like, who took this order? Running to the kitchen. We were not asking for much, just 3 plates of fries and 3 sausages, that's it. Then they bring out the cutlery and sauces to make it seem like the food was coming, which it did not. We eventually decided to leave and no one seemed to care, they just watched us leave, LITERALLY! I mean, what ? They didn't even check to see if we had paid for our drinks, which we did 500 shillings for 2 sodas at 150 and passion juice at 200. I mean, it's not like it was a full house, just a group of ten people or so and I mean, if they were "that busy", they should have just informed us that service will take a while, but even so, a whole hour? It was a frustrating experience. I have to give a star but if I had the choice, I wouldn't give them any rating. 0 Unless they change or respond as to why the service was this poor, I DO NOT recommend this hotel at all. We had the worst experience on 27th Nov, 2021! First, we sat there for a whole 30mins before anyone showed up to take our orders. And once the order was taken, it took another 2hrs for the food to be ready! The entire establishment had only 2 waiters who seemed overwhelmed or just not intonthe work! We had young ones so opted for takeaway.

Sadly when we got home to eat, the fish though fresh was not well grilled, some parts were not well done! The pork was super tough, we could barely chew! We had to actually throw away the food.

To say I was disappointed is an understatement. The place came highly recommended but the service and food PATHETIC! I would NOT...

The place is beautiful but the chef must be overwhelmed or just not good at keeping time . We wanted pork and fried plantains the waiter advised us to order something else since that was going to take a while to prepare;20 mins We then changed to wet fry goat meat which was to be ready in less than 10 mins . The food took a whole hour and when it was brought it was stew not wet fry ,since we were hungry we served and sent back the rest to be recooked.
