Fish Market Restaurant — Restaurant in Salmiya

This is an unbiased review and with no means dishonors or disrespect the Resturants ethical ways or ambitions .

The fish was undoubtedly fresh, However the food served was trash . I do a way better job at home . Tiger prawns was not deveined correctly . Look like half grilled . Mussels still had sand in them unbelievable to enter a Resturant’s that serves this food Sea breem served was so strong in flavor why?

Had to order the rice which was less than want you get Cheesecake Factory or midar or Al Shameem Resturants.

They called it home made bread but in actual it was kuwait flour mill Arabic bread LMAO.

Oriental salad which was recommended looked like someone puked on it . Again way too much dressing overwhelming the salad.

Wonder what 1000 people who visited actually ate here . Probably never had fish before or due to the distance this was the closest .

Resturant definitely doesn’t serve Arabic/ Kuwait seafood . It’s just grilled or fried absolutely bland .

I am a food critic , I have eaten out at 25% Resturant’s in Kuwait and I regret this one of all of them .

Can’t serve to impress . Why does a resturant need to smell like fish even though it’s a fish resturant. Staff know the menu but don’t have confidence to speak out loud with affirmation.

Poor service from the staff at salmiya branch .. actually it’s one person but he was causing stress to his colleagues and he was rude in his way of treatment with his colleagues and the customers .Also he had an offensive and aggressive attitude . He was screaming at his colleagues in-front of the customers which caused tension and we had to cancel the order and leave the place to another restaurant. Had a bad experience and I don’t think such personality is capable of working in a field where dealing with customers demands social skills and respective attitude..I would like to try it but not on that employee shift 🤦🏻‍♀️. Average place for family/friends gathering.

First the service is a bit slow but the staff are kind. They are probably overworked for the number of waiters who are running around (management issue) I believe). They put on a smile to serve us but it seems they are stretched with workload!

The food quality is just above average (70%) . We loved the grilled mussels and the sea bream grilled fish. The cheese and cream lobster and scampi were bad choices to order- bland and tasteless! The Tom yum was good, the Chinese mussels not so good!

I probably would come again but will allow myself more time as this are slow !
