The clerk who takes orders from a small desk on the pavement is very friendly and so is the waiter. When the latter asked me if I wanted Chai, I thought okay why not. Turns out they have a neighboring restaurant provide the chai (standard teabag of Lipton Yellow Label) who then collects their fee from the clerk. I witnessed a short discussion and in the end, some money found its way to the hand of the chai-guy. Later, I was charged 1.4KD when I went to pay for my 3 falafel (150fls, 50fls each), one portion of ful (1KD), bread and pickles (which I assume are included) leaving that mysterious Chai at 250fls — definitely not worth it. This whole chai mystery distracted me from my dinner because I kept on scheming what kind of scam I might have fallen for. That's why I didn’t give full star rating for the service.
So, come for the delicious food but not the Chai from another restaurant :) Their falafel sandwiches come in soft buns and look like heavenly comfort food as well. There were three guys ordering a whole basket of sandwiches each and munching on them very happily. I think they’re just 100fls per piece. If you want to translate the menu before ordering/paying, it’s put on display on the left hand side of the counter inside the restaurant.
The food is very tasty: crispy & well seasoned falafel, creamy & comforting ful, pickles come with raw red onion and lemon, the bread is nice, too — so I definitely recommend! If you like it spicy tho, you might get some condiments. But I didn't ask.
The atmosphere is super relaxed, and staff are generally friendly and welcoming, especially the clerk. English wasn’t really spoken when I went but it was easy to place an order.
