Below average /average - I say average if I want to summarize it but definitely other hotels out there that could offer better hospitality.
First of all, the promised arrival transfer was not available as they missed the info. Happily the room was ready to check in when I arrived around 10am so that was great! Also I got some dates and fruits as a gesture - sent to the room.
For some reason, most of the appliances in the room were unplugged: TV/fridge/decoder. Safe was not working, the battery had to be changed.
The breakfast has a good selection, more arabic type of breakfast but also pastries, fruits, omelette station. Sadly the waiters do not speak any english so while I am still sitting at my table and having my water, they started prepping it fresh and wanted to take away my glass (still with my Vitamin C inside). And he did not understand what is wrong. (Restaurant was not even busy)
The receptionists - I d say all of them I met - were very friendly, apologetic. Here I can only say positive things.
Unfortunately my departure was also a negative experience: I booked a transfer at 7am (as I was told it is only at every hour) (my flight at 9:55 so plenty of time ahead)
At 6:25 I got a call if I could leave at 6:40 as there is a transfer. I was hesitant but it sounded like I have not many options. Breakfast opens at 6:30am. I ran up, took 2 croissants and bananas and ran back to my room.
As I was alone in the car, I guess the receptionist referred to an arrival transfer. Regardless, it was too hectic.
PS. I am sitting at 7:40 on arrival coffee shop and still see the same driver here waiting. So maybe I could have left even at 7am (20-25 min drive)
The location is ok, back entrance to walk to promenade is with full of trash containers, smells and looks...
Read moreI recently stayed at the Millennium Hotel in Kuwait Sharq, and I must say it was an excellent experience. This four-star hotel is clean and comfortable, with excellent and spotless rooms. I frequently visit Kuwait, and I always choose this hotel due to its central location and easy transportation options.
One of the standout features of this hotel is the complimentary luxury car service they offer to pick you up from the airport and drop you off at the airport upon departure. This convenience adds a touch of luxury and ease to your travel experience.
The staff at the hotel are simply wonderful, especially the receptionists. They are always smiling and provide service with great hospitality. The highlight of my stay was the breakfast, which offered a wide variety of dishes and was served with the highest level of professionalism.
The lobby area is extremely spacious, providing a sense of comfort and tranquility whenever you sit there. Additionally, the hotel offers reasonable prices, making it an excellent value for money.
I highly recommend this hotel, and I have been a loyal guest for over ten years. It's the perfect place to stay when...
Read moreI am a regular guest at Millennium Central, but after tonight’s experience I will never return again.
I arrived at 8:30 pm, paid 50 KWD for a booking, and went out. When I came back at 1:30 am to check in, I was shocked to be told there was no running water in the entire hotel until 5:00 am. No one had informed me of this at booking.
Worse, when I finally went to the room, I found it flooded with water. At nearly 2:00 am, exhausted, I returned to reception requesting a refund. It took them over an hour just to send me a vague “refund email.” The supervisor on the phone (later I found out her name is Riza Joy) refused to refund, refused to give her name or position when asked, and showed zero professionalism.
Now it’s almost 3:00 am, I have no refund, no room to sleep in, and I’m forced to look for another hotel at this late hour. For a property that claims to be a “5-star” hotel, this is absolutely unacceptable.
Unprofessional, unhelpful, and completely disappointing. Millennium Central Kuwait has lost a loyal guest because of this...
