Souq Sharq Marina — Attraction in Sharq

Souq Sharq introduced the concept of malls in Kuwait. Before Souq Sharq there were no luxury malls in Kuwait. The place is built on reclaimed land in the heart of Kuwait City. At its peak in the early 2000, it was the place to be. It is now overtaken by much larger malls like Marina, Avenues etc. However, Souq Sharq is still a very interesting place to visit and spend time with the family. Luxury outlets and decent dining options. The place also contains a fairly decent supermarket operated by Sultan Center. It has some great stores. However, it falls short on the restaurant scene. They really need to introduce better restaurants. As the location for this mall is dynamite. They are opening True Value which is a big plus and Sultan center has fixed the stench problem they had before as well as rearranged the layout in a way that is more inviting. The marina in located as part of Soug Sharq mall. The marina is facing the main Street. There are allot of yachts here, but there are no restaurants or setting area as part of the marina.
