Positive-|—Incredibly helpful Front Desk staff! And they speak perfect English. |—Water pressure was great. |—Plentiful hot water. And it was instantaneous too (no waiting - even during non peak hours). |—Big rooms!|—The breakfast (included) was incredible! I counted and there were at least 100+ items to choose from (how wonderful is that!) Not only Western favorites like cook-to-order omelets, but local dishes like Arabic Pizza (try it - it’s delicious) and (freshly made?) mango yogurt. I also love the open concept kitchen and the big windows to let the nice morning light in. Be sure to stretch your “Westerner” pallets out and try their “Foul Mudammas”, which is a stew of cooked fava beans normally enjoyed at breakfast. |—Their restaurant is listed as the #6 place to eat in ALL of Kuwait City, by Trip Advisor ratings (per their traveler rankings). |—Very nice location. The famous Kuwait Towers are within eyesight, and only a 10 minute walk away. |—WiFi was fast. |—They offer free airport pick-up & drop-off (in a sedan with a driver in a suit) upon prior request. It operates 6a - 10p or so. |—They have do-it-yourself washer/dryers in the basement if you don’t want to send your laundry out and pay hotel prices. It’s even free (you get tokens from the front desk - just pay for laundry soap if you need it). |—The A/C works great (I suppose it would need to since this is Kuwait). |—Everything in the hotel gives off vibes of quality - they didn’t cut corners when building this Residence Inn. |—The cable TV system seemingly has channels from practical every major country in the world (and their respective languages), and not just local stations. |—The Manager, Hassan, was spectacular in helping me with trying to get something quite unusual arranged (in another country). In the end, it didn’t work out (I didn’t have the time), but I certainly appreciate his efforts! ||Negative-|—No (newer) USB-C recharging plugs near the desk (only older USB-A plugs), and no recharging plugs at all aside the bed. ||Summary-|This hotel could easily be a JW Marriott quote honestly (and not a Residence Inn). On one hotel booking site it’s listed as three stars which is ridiculous! It is easily a strong four star and probably a five star property (I’ve been to almost 140 countries in the world). ||I would absolutely...
Read moreI'm sure I have reveiwed this hotel before. Anyhoo!. Travelling from Kuwait airport, I was ushered into a taxi by very helpful porters. Now they may seem rough and ready. But I paid my 10 KWD. About £25, and was driven to the door of the hotel. No problems driver was very courteous, car was safe and sound. Security is tight the cars are checked by security and your luggage is also checked before you get to the hotel reception via an X-ray machine. All very smooth and proffessional. The reception people like all the people I've met in kuwait are very pleasant and receptive . Check in was easy, your luggage is carried up by a Porter. Rooms are top notch. You won't be disappointed. Big TV 40" + plus, some English channels. You'll have a kitchenette in your room, for cooking if you wish. Local shop two mins, supermarket a good 20min walk. You'll have a good size shower room, toilet etc. Ample wardrobes, all fitted to a high standard. There's a resturante, gym, sauna. Although we havnt actually located the sauna it's there. Somewhere. Complimentary breakfast with a hugh selection, fruits cereals cooked meats, croissants, breads, everything you would want. Staff are first class, all happy and always say good morning. I'v nothing negative to say really. Couldn't be happier with a hotel. Maybe one slight minor problem. Could do with better sound proofing on the windows. There is a small football sports stadia opposite, and the locals do love their footy and stuff. After all there's no drinking so they have to let their hair down somehow. To be honest I quiet enjoy it. But I'm a footy fan. Over...

We paid for our 3 King Bed room a week in advance, before we booked we called the hotel and asked if they would keep our room if we check in late. The hotel said "of course they would keep for us since we already paid". But once we arrived the early morning, we got told all 3 of our King Bed Room were given to someone else. [First promise broke]
Then Hotel said we can come back 2 hours later, they would give back us smoking-allowed King Bed Rooms with good view on high floors. When we came back, they only offered room on 10th floor, which is medium height only, and are smoking free rooms [Promise broke agian]
During the whole conversation, we disucussed respectively with two receptions and one duty manager, we have never heard of any sort of appologies. What they kept saying are :
We understand your feeling (with a fake smile)
Do you know now is GCC summit? We have high occupation rate (is it the reason you can break your contract?)
It is not your fault ( This is the most hilarious sentence that they kept saying, feels like it is my fault)
This is not Marriot Standard nor any decent hotel standard, very...
