La Vue De Vientiane ລາ ວູ ເດິ ວຽງຈັນ — Restaurant in Vientiane Capital

WARNING: VIOLENT FOOD POISONING! I ordered a salmon salad February 14th, 2024. The salmon was TINY and was the only part of the salad that I actually ate because they had smothered the lettuce in dressing to the point that it was swimming and inedible. The server was nice and gave me a 15% discount, but this would not begin to make up for what that evening was going to look like.

Note, I had nothing else to eat that day other than a morning coffee, and by the time dinner rolled around I couldn't have eaten if I wanted to. I was VIOLENTLY ill. I spent the next 8 hours in the bathroom with hot lava forcefully exiting from both ends (at the same time) and dripping with sweat. My 8am flight had to be cancelled as I was too weak to crawl out of bed once the liquid death leaving my body had finally stopped. I also had to stay an extra night at the hotel and buy a new flight.

So while I appreciate the 15% discount, that teeny tiny sliver of ill-kept salmon cost me about $500 in hotel and new flights.

For the owner, or whoever reads this, FOR THE LOVE OF THE UNIVERSE PLEASE learn how to store your food correctly! This could have easily killed someone older or more physically vulnerable than me and for some people $500 in unexpected life events could be...

One of the best restaurants I've seen in Vientiane. Very spacious, also with tables on the patio outside for smokers. Toilet is sparkling clean. The service is quick and very kind (one of not many places here where the waitress greets you with SMILE) and attentive. They speak English too. Food was served quickly and it was absolutely delicious. The prices are also more than reasonable....

Had a fantastic meal here yesterday. We made up our own sharing meal by just ordering 5-6 dishes. The quality and freshness was superb! and we were shocked how inexpensive it was. You will definitely not be disappointed...
