My family and I went to Laos for a wedding and we stayed in the hotel for 3 nights. The bride's family booked hotel rooms for all guests and requested all Deluxe King rooms. When we checked in, a lady at the reception said our room has 2 single beds which was wrong and she kept saying that was what the company booked. There was no company and I told her that we are husband and wife, we need x1 double bed. She refused to change so we had to ask staff to put 2 single beds together - Not happy

We stayed in level 14 and we found out we did not have hot water. At that time, it was late at night and we wanted to have hot shower. They sent a "technician" to check water. He said let water run 3-5mins, it would get hot. The water wasn't hot at all. The technician refused to fix hot water. The reception said they would let us know in the morning if we need to move to another room. We had to have cold shower that night - Not happy.

Next morning, I had to chase up to find out if we could move to another room. No one cared to give us a call. We moved up to level 16. We had hot water eventually. There were many things that either didn't work or missing. The safe didn't work. There was no dustbin in the toilet.

Also, hotel staff ignored the button "DO NOT DISTURB" and got in our room when we were not there to leave the iron and turned off the button. Luckily, we didn't lose anything. One time, a house keeper knocked our door and I said "Coming". She didn't wait for us to open the door, she opened the door herself - Not profesional at all.

They didn't freshen up our parents room at all. My parent had to call them many times to ask them. They ignored it. Eventually, my parents gave up and asked them to give fresh new bath towels and couple of the bottle of water.

Every time, we called reception for stuff, it would take forever for them to do it.

To me, this hotel couldn't be 5 stars. It's more like 2-3 stars.

I hope this feedback will be read by the hotel management so they can rectify it in the future.

I WAS VERY IMPRESSED WITH THE MUONG THANH LUXURY HOTEL. FROM THE TIME YOU WALK IN THE FRONT DOOR UNTIL YOU LEAVE IT IS A HOTEL THAT YOU WILL ENJOY. I COME TO LAOS ABOUT 2 TIMES A YEAR AND LIKE TO STAY AT LUXURY HOTELS BECAUSE THEY ARE PRICED MUCH LESS HERE THAN IN AMERICA OR OTHER PLACES AROUND THE WORLD.

THIS IS MY FIRST VISIT TO THIS PARTICULAR HOTEL AND I AM VERY IMPRESSED. THE HOTEL STAFF MADE ME FEEL VERY COMFORTABLE EVEN THOUGH I WAS TOO EARLY TO GET INTO MY ROOM. THEY HAD COLD JUICES AVAILABLE AND THERE WAS NO LIMIT. THEY ALSO HAVE A RESTAURANT ON THE 25TH FLOOR IF YOU WERE HUNGRY OR JUST WANTED TO LOOK OUT THE WALLS OF WINDOWS. I CHOSE TO HAVE COFFEE AND TAKE SOME PHOTOS.

THEY WERE ABLE TO GET ME INTO MY ROOM ON THE 22ND FLOOR BY 12:00 AND I WAS VERY SURPRISED BY THE QUALITY OF EVERYTHING ABOUT THE ROOM.I HAVE A WALL OF WINDOWS FACING THE SOUTH SO I HAVE NATURAL LIGHT ALL DAY LONG. IF I WANT PRIVACY THE WINDOWS HAVE GOOD QUALITY SUN BLOCKING CURTAINS. IF YOU WANT TO TAKE A NAP, YOU WILL HAVE NO PROBLEM.

ALL OF THE FEATURES OF THIS ROOM IS TOP QUALITY. THE BED IS FIRM BUT SOFT AT THE SAME TIME. I LAID DOWN JUST TO BE OFF MY FEET FOR A WHILE AND WOKE UP 5 HOURS LATER. IT IS VERY QUIET HERE. I WAS TOLD BY ONE OF THE PEOPLE AT THE FRONT DESK THAT THE CEILING IN THE FOYER LIGHTS UP LIKE THE SKY WITH STARS AND HINTS OF FAR AWAY GALAXIES. I DID GO DOWN ABOUT MIDNIGHT TO SEE THIS BUT THE REGULAR LIGHTING BLOCKS OUT MOST OF IT. I MIGHT GO DOWN TONIGHT AND SEE IF THEY CAN LOWER THE LIGHT LEVEL SO I CAN SEE IT AND TAKE A...

Enjoyable peaceful stay. Large clean rooms. Quiet on the 25th floor. The river view is mostly a city view as the hotel is not close to the Mekong, but you can observe the sunset in the hazy skies of Vientiane. The hotel is not near the tourist areas but very close to the Thai Consulate (4 min walk), so I didn't have to negotiate with arrogant taxi or tuk tuk drivers that overcharge by 100% or more to get to the consulate from the city center. There's a convenience store nearby and a couple of cafes. Cafe Sinouk was my favorite. I recommend eating there. Its cheaper and faster than the hotel restaurant and the food is good and the coffee is excellent. The hotel mainly caters to tour groups but since the hotel is so big you only encounter them in the reception area as they are checking in or out. Recommend eating breakfast at 08:30 as most of the groups have left to go on their trip by then so the buffet is less crowded. If you need to go to the city center, the hotel will call a taxi for you but it's not really a taxi but a local driver who is Vietnamese. The challenge is getting back to the hotel as taxis are rarely seen on the road. They mostly gather at the tourist hot spots. The hotel staff is very nice and helpful and you can tell that they are trying hard to ensure the customers enjoy their stay. As we were leaving for the airport, the concierge ran after the car because we forgot a role of packing rope, which only cost about $1. He was a very fast runner.

Absolutely wonderful stay! We spent two nights here and every single one of the staff we met in the hallway, lobby, elevator, main desk, dining room, pool, and everywhere else was the friendliest and most helpful staff you could come across! The rooms are comfortable, the beds and linens are top-notch quality, and there was consistent WiFi and air-conditioning - which was something we were concerned with for this trip. The buffet breakfast caters to Western and Asian tastes and their top-floor restaurant offers breathtaking views of the whole capital city! The pool is lovely and open with seating for tanning or relaxing in the shade - extra towels and even life-jackets were also available for kids and adults. I can't say a single bad word about this place or the people working there! Simply fantastic!
