Dilettante Jurmala — Restaurant in Jūrmala

Nice snacks, moderate main courses and bad service.

We came for Valentine’s dinner, booked a table in advance, staff was already a mess. It seems that they don’t follow reservations at all and just go with the flow. Luckily there was a free table. Than we spent more time waiting to order something instead of eating. But everyone was waiting. Guys on the right was waiting for a check tor 15minutes, everyone had plates on the tables. Empty plates. Dishes where brought without cuttlery and so on. Anyway we were sitting in a good spirit as some second seating people, waiting for our thingies. Everyone in the restaurant were served in courses and we got our snacks and pasta all together. Bruschetta with salmon was good, the one with tuna a bit flat. But since we got all food together our pasta was already soggy, cold-ish and totally not worth the money.

To sum up we came to the restaurant to spend some nice quality time, have some nice drinks and instead we firstly felt abandoned, then overwhelmed and generally we felt that they are rushing us out of there. It seemed that two months after the opening should be enough to have processes in place but I was wrong.

Big down for general atmosphere was just lost staff. They were almost running with shock and fear in their faces. Fail with almost every table and just put all the restaurant in stress.

That was a sad...

Family dinner. Food was good and well presented. Service seemed to be under-staffed.

The experience was unfortunately overshadowed by the service. The waitress missed the order for one of us. We waited for it to arrive but it soon became evident that it got lost, the service personell didn’t seem to reflect on that. They looked stressed out even though the restaurant were at most half full. Served the our kids adult portions which we weren’t told and didn’t order. Demanded us, albeit the additional 25 min wait for the lost order and missed side order, to pay full price for everything including their error with the kid’s order. Got a small discount after pointing it out.

Smaržīga un garda. Marinara salāti - liela porcija, daudz zaļumu un dāsns jūras velšu daudzums. Cannoli - gards un svaigs krēms, labs maltītes noslēgums, laba procija. Tiramisu - bija mēreni salds, nu tieši tā kā vajag. Deserts iepriecināja ar neierastu pasniegšanas veidu!

Restorānā patīkamu noskaņu raisa lielie logi, aiz kuriem jūtama pilsētas dinamika - auto nesteidzīgi brauc garām, cilvēki dodas mierīgās pastaigās. Restorānu noteikti ir vērts apmeklēt, jo tas patīkami izceļas ar gaumīgo iekārtojumu, kā interjerā, tā galda klājumā.

Kopumā restorānā valda mājīga noskaņa, silti un patīkami krāsu salikumi. Šeit var atrast vietiņu ikviens - romantiski pārīši, kuri vēlas pabūt divatā, individuāli ceļotāji, kuriem patīk pabūt vienatnē ar sevi. Patiks arī tūristiem vai pašam ar sevi, gan arī draugu lokā.
