Kafijas stūrītis — Restaurant in Jūrmala

I love this place. Yes, it’s slow sometimes, but it’s been worth the wait. Today, they tested my patience while we attempted to have breakfast which turned into lunch. The service was incredibly slow. We waited for anyone to knowledge us for about 20 minutes. We waited to order another 15 minutes while we knew what we wanted to order before we came. Our tea came fairly quickly. I asked for extra sugar. It never came. Our order took 40 minutes, and it was cold. The extra item I ordered (it’s on the menu as an available addition) never came. Needless to say that our tea by then was cold and mostly gone. We asked for a check and paid cash on the spot ( before she tried to walk away). We waited for our change for 20 minutes while our waitress was coming in and out to serve other customers. Eventually, I went inside and requested to see my change. It wasn’t ready and nowhere to be found. After another wait, she brought it. There was no tip which is hard for me to do. Our waitress was perfectly friendly and polite. Near the hotels and near the beach, this cafe is situated in a perfect spot for vacation tourists. I was able to find vegan options easily in Riga, but I struggled in Jūrmala to find anything on Google or the happy cow app. I decided to get a black coffee at this cafe, but when I went inside I was so pleased to see a large variety of plant based milk options. They even have iced coffee for those warm days when a cold drink tastes so good. I ended up getting a latte and I asked if they had any vegan food options. They had a granola bar and a vegan "Snickers" bar. Both of the food items were not overly sweet. They had fruit, seeds, and nuts in them that were very tasty and full of fiber. I enjoyed the flavor a lot. The people who worked at the cafe were very friendly and helpful. I wish I had found this place sooner! I highly recommend stopping in here for the perfect...

It’s my first time visiting this place, and I truly enjoyed it! I’ve tried espresso and flat white, and I must say - they were pretty good! Comparing to many other places, espresso at Kafijas stūrītis wasn’t extremely hot, but the only thing that “upset me” was some coffee grounds on the bottom of the cup. The flat white was great and delicious. I’ve also took a cheese croissant (although, I don’t have a picture of it), and it was light and tasty. I’d suggest to ask if it’s possible to heat it up next time; I’m sure it will taste even better once warmed up.

The staff is amazing: two friendly women, who quickly brought the order, and they also clarified on the spot if I’d like to have my order here or to-go.

All and all, I recommend visiting this place while visiting Bulduri! :) Thank you for the great Monday...
