The dishes are very delicious! Menu is very wide. So you need more time to choose that you want :) Also it is very convenient that you can order 50-70% of porsions.

But I was not lucky with the service. I was not allowed to move to another table. The argument from waiter was: it will be not comfortable for me. I proposed to pay for coffee and take another seat, but waiter said: no, you must stay here. Honesty, It's the first time I've met such an attitude towards a visitor 😳 Maybe it's okay and commonly for Latvia. But it make a bad impression and I don't feel like a guest at all.

A few details that have been also affected to my opinion of this place: the coffee was not hot as I have asked when I asked if I can seat on the terrace, I got answer “no” and about 10 minutes there were people on the terrace, so nobody notified that I can wait or I can change the seat no propositions from waitress except soup, however I told that try to choose between vegetables and chicken. Quality of service is poor, my waiter forgot which soup is which and mixed up mine and my friends soups, and they didn't think to bring us teaspoons (I ordered tea with sugar, honey and lemon, makes sense to bring one). Had to ask for things that are usually already considered by waiters. The hot sushi tasted like they were frozen before and were warmed up to order, dryest hot sushi I've ever had, had a weird aftertaste. Also, the sushi were so tiny, nothing like pictures in the menu. Not to mention, all of the food was barely warm, unlike any other time I've been to GanBei- the food used to be hot and fresh. It wasn't even rush hour yet, we arrived at 12, so before rush hour. Had a quick dinner for two. Ordered crispy chicken and 3 different sushi rolls. The sushi was good and even as someone who doesn't consume seafood on regular basis I enjoyed it. Chicken on the other hand was vile. It looked old, was rubbery, barley tasted like chicken and it was dyed all the way trough by some purple colouring they had used. I hope it was just beetroot or something. Also I got stomach pain and diarrhea after donning at this place. I would suggest staying away from chicken dishes at this place and go with sushi since that's what they specialize in. The waiting staff was nice. The seating next to window, overlooking ice ring, is quite unique. Can't get that anywhere. Got good timing and had the opportunity to watch hickey practice...
