Tērbata — Restaurant in Valmiera

I like this place. It is not my favorite local burger joint where to have a nice juicy burger made of locally grown beef, but it is a close second. Not only you can taste local food, but you can enjoy local and not that local beers. Most of these beers are actually rather good, and you won't find them in other restaurants. Staff is friendly. I have never been thrown out of this bar/restaurant or whatever they call it place. Prices are affordable even for locals, that means that tourist should fill his belly full with delicious food and drinks and still have some money left to spend on some Valmiera souvenirs. And there are some pool tables on the second floor. I remember they had an idea of building some kind of a hostel on second and third floors, but I don't know if they did. I wonder what happened with that. One downside they used to have is that there was not enough tables for busy evening. During summer time all is good, because they have terrace, but they should try to put some more tables inside. And I believe they will, because just recently they have gotten rid of that useless barbershop that was a part of Terbata bar/restaurant. So there will be more space for people to enjoy their food. Best place in Valmiera.

Food: probably the best burger you'll have in Latvia. Best of produce, great quality.

Service: staff are awesome and friendly

Atmosphere: pretty chill with some great music and nicely decorated.

Drinks: great selection of beers, even have guinness, with a good selection of cocktails and great coffee.

Other: Free good wifi, suitable for large groups and parties. Great spot if you are working remote and want to grab a coffee and do some work on your laptop.

Būtu labs, ja būtu labs. Bijām sestdienā, kad cilvēku plūsma ir diezgan liela (teātra festivāls), tāpēc nolēmām paņemt līdzi.

Burgeri -"1/4 lops" un "Čemodāns" - tiek ielikti parastā plastmasas kastē un tad, kad tu atver vāku, tev priekšā ir kaut kas līdzīgs Budas bļodai ar divām maizēm un Ķīnas kāposta cietāko daļu svaigu zaļumu vietā. Abi izvēlētie burgeri ļoti sausi, mērce gandrīz vai kā nav. Siers nav izkusis, un vienīgā siltā sastāvdaļa ir gaļa. Veģetārajam burgerim nav nekas līdzīgs dārzeņu kotletei – zem augšējās maizītes ir saliktas vārītu biešu šķēlītēs. Nebija sajūta, ka sastāvdaļas savā starpā saskanētu un veidotu patīkamu garšu.

Var jau būt, ka mūsu vērtējums ir neobjektīvs, tomēr jāatzīst, ka burgeri ir ēsti daudz un dažādās vietās. "1/4 lops" varētu likt vienā plauktā ar tādu neizdevušos Circle-K burgeri. Iespējams šādu kvalitāti radīja vairāki apstākļi – daudzie klienti un to pasūtījumi. Taču pat šādā sestdienā maksāju par burgeri tik pat, cik būtu jāmaksā jebkuru citu dienu un sagaidu tādu pašu kvalitāti kā citās atsauksmēs.

Pasūtītais džins ar toniku bija labs, tomēr būtu patīkamāk, ja Tērbatas darbinieks pirms likt laimu manā kokteilī nomazgātu rokas pēc cita klienta apkalpošanas (maksājums). It īpaši šajā Covid laikā.

Jāatzīst, ka apkalpošana bija laipna un darbinieki visus centās apkalpot raiti. 👍🏻 Vadībai/kolektīvam būtu jānodrošina ēdiena kvalitāte arī tad, kad pieprasījums ir augstāks nekā...
