A charming hidden gem in an alley in Mar Mkhayel area, a secret garden still in the soft opening (menus printed on A4). though the brand of the coffee was on sale before, they decided to open their first branch and word to mouth it became the It place even before the opening. On a charming sunny fall morning, went with a friend. It was full house and with one waiter the service was really really slow. Only the genuine smile and sorry from Emma was the key to lower our irritation from waiting forever for our orders t be ready. Even the cakes were late that day, we left around 12 pm and there was none. Would have love to try them!I tried the americano with a shot of almond milk, though i required it boiling hot, it came hardly warm, so I went to the bartender to heat it for me. My cappucino arrived too late to be enjoyed like it took more then half an hr though i went personaly to order it from the bar. My friend tried the labneh with side veggies very tasty and generous portions. The rooftop was reserved for a photoshoot that morning, would love to go back at night too and try their food menu.I would definitely recommend having at least two waiters to make the experience even better!

Wonderful place for a cup of coffee with working, little chats or studying. Sure worth a visit. Attention to details is so obvious. Bike stops, helmet places are available. Tried their cortado and their latte and it was just perfect. I think they have roasters too but I’m not sure. Three sitting areas, an inside and in the garden and at the roof. Everything was clean and tidy. There was a sign that breastfeeding is welcomed which is just so nice of them. They also share support for LGBTQ rising the flag on the bar. Alcohol and cocktails are served their too. The restroom are divided to three rooms, women and men and for those who don’t care. But, I think they must install bidets in them, at the end some do prefer them over tissues 😅

After hearing a lot about Kalei coffee we decided to give this place a try. We went there on a Sunday afternoon, the place is located in the heart of Mar mkhael in a charming old buidling, as a first encounter the waiters were super friendly, and their knowledge of coffee is huge, they showed us the cupping room where they cure their own beans, the concept is just out of this world! We tried some of their food items, everthing was straight forward, delicious and well presented. As for their coffee selection it was amazing, we tried the nebso espresso which was very flavorful. I would definitely recommend Kalei coffee for every coffee enthusiast!

Really cute place with a great garden area and beautiful old building. The atmosphere is perfect to have a brunch, work a bit on your laptop (electric plug available for almost all seats), enjoy a good talk with friend or just try their speciality coffee. We ordered different egg dishes and pour over coffee. The barista/roaster was delighted to share about their beans. The coffee served was well prepared and tasted great. The egg toast with lamb (Awarma) was delicious, egg burger was great too and the feta with egg was ok. The service was good and efficient. The neighborhood is also pretty 🤩 I recommend this place ✅✅

Kalei is a gentle, calm place to go to It's an ideal place for studying, or hanging out in a small group, or even a date! The ambience is what makes the place so unique We wanted to sit on the rooftop, which I heard is amazing, however it had just rained that day so that was not recommended by the staff, which was a shame We ordered the Americano, Ginger Tea, Carrot Cake, and Brownie. Would highly recommend the carrot cake for anyone with a sweet tooth, and the brownie for someone thats into dark chocolate. The Ginger Tea smelled so fragrant, and it really suits the whole ambience of the area

Astonishingly very cute local coffee shop in Mar Mikhael area. Self- Service system, you order, pay, then select your corner, either at the ground level or the roof. Tasty variety of coffee and standard Bar drinks. The garden area has excellent atmosphere during spring and autumn. A very calm place to have a conversation between Father and Son, needing just Cat Steven voice at the background 🤭 An NGO developed a very nice public space nearby, where you can spend real relaxing place if you are around. Strongly recommend.
