Highly not recommended! Although the food, ambiance and restaurant design is very good, the service that we received was extremely unprofessional.
We ordered 2 Vietnamese formula and 2 Indian main dishes as this is what was available as transmitted by the waitress. although the Indian and Vietnamese main dishes were served after an hour and 30 min (which is considered very late), however, we had to wait for another 45 min hours without receiving the naan so we can have our Indian meals as we can not sip the curries! Moreover, when we informed the manager about this issue and that the main dishes are cold by now after 2 hours of wait (still haven't received the naan at that point), instead of apologising, she kept arguing that we should have ordered the Vietnamese formula as the Indian menu was open as a secondary choice, however, no one told us about this small detail!!! and if it is a secondary choice, the restaurant gave us the choice so how this is the customer's fault?
To be clear, they told us that naan will take some time as it is freshly cooked, and we were happy to wait, but waiting for two hours, not getting the main dishes of the Vietnamese and Indian untill after an hour and a half, not getting the naan ever, having this very rude manager attitude, is extremely unprofessional! please note that we booked one day in advance so we were not overloading the restaurant. Definitely not recommended under...
Read moreFrom where to start, the innovative concept, the welcome, the variety of the menu, the generosity, the chef, the owned, the charm of the place. I can't get enough i am in love with Makan. After finally making it there to savor the Detox retox brunch by hicham this Saturday It all started with the green smoothy shot, very refreshing followed by the loaded protein soup where your whole body screams thankful of its nutritive values though could be used a bit more seasoning. the bruschettas with fried eggs yolks runny and this over a bed of avocado that melts into ur mouth and the second one with finely slices crunchy beetroot topped with sprouts over a labne spread. For the main we were served chicken accompanied by roasted cauliflowers, lentils and a slaw dressed with tahini and sesame seeds, it was our least fav part of the meal except the slaw. And finally retox with a melty sweety banoffee pie with a twist: crushed biscuits topped with the sauce, caramel and banana slices or detox with orange slices with silvered almonds both satisfying ends of this brunch. All the meal was accompanied with infused water with rosemary, cucumbers and lemons. We all fell under the charm of this place and what we think is fair that you guys offer a priceless jewel in all what u presented. Its a must visit...
Read moreThe place is very well kept and antique, lovely. We weren't welcomed properly but that's ok, thinking food will erase that, food was ok (from a person who has eaten indian and thai at other authentic places), the quantities were not satisfying especially the kung pao (5 small shrimps!) My kids aged 10 and 11 were surprised to see nudity pictures in the wc (photographed naked women) so was i since this was not a bar nor a pub and whoever thought this was Ok should at least mention somewhere this is an 18+. when we reserved on the phone no one told us the tandoor wld be turned off during specific hours and we went there craving Naan bread, so a bummer...waiter should have cleaned the table from empty dishes more frequently, I had to take action myself and make space for him! We were the ONLY clients at 6pm! Another small hick with USD and LBP payment but this is happening all over during the crisis. Am sure other people might like it but too bad we won't be...
