Lovely clean and cozy cafe with great working hours and perfect to refresh after a longer trip.
Just some constructive feedback if I may as I have read some reviews and saw that the owners are quite responsive and open to feedback. I had ordered a oat flat white and am a fan of trying single origin specialty coffee. I have tried many oat / almond / soy lattes as a vegan for many years and I always like to ask the baristas what milk they use. I had not tried the oat milk that barista used and decided to give it a go. I must say that it tasted rather watered down and did not contribute positively to the experience. Some oat milks have different textures and richness depending on the ingredients, and this one tasted rather simple, probably we made of a low concentration of oats and maybe a bit of salt, and not a barista type suitable for a rich flavour that would enhance the coffee notes. All plant based milks are tricky because that can often taste like bean water or oat water when they have simple ingredients. The foam on my flat white also was not as rich and creamy as expected. My recommendation would be to use the Alpro barista range: soy, oat, or almond. Alternatively, Alpro Not Milk tastes really well but have not encountered in coffee shops yet as it is a newer product so am unsure how it foams. They are by far the most popular alternative milks used by baristas from my experience and have the right texture and flavour for a coffee. I must say that my recommendation is solely based on my personal flavour palate. Secondly, it would be nice to have more information about the specialty coffee you use. Like a card or a poster somewhere to just provide more information about whether it is a single origin, a blend, tasting notes, roasting intensity etc. this would help a coffee snob like me choose a drink type to better experience the flavours. I have asked the barista and she provided me with the information I was seeking so I was able to choose a drink type accordingly. Although, it would be nice to have a few options of coffee to choose from..
Overall, a great coffee experience in the bus station. Will come again if I travel...
Read moredidn't want coffee at home. But when we arrived at the bus station, we were passing by and the smell caught my attention 🙂↕️. The delightful smell of coffee ☕. It was from this coffee shop. We were greeted by a cheerful barista. The coffee was absolutely delicious. "Baristocrat" provided us with a great start to the day and the start of our trip. There are two cup sizes. If you don't have time to drink coffee at the bus station, take it with you. Enjoy the views of Vilnius and the surrounding area from the bus window with a...
Read moreI deliberately skipped the vending machines at Vilnius bus station to treat myself to a proper latte before a 3-hour ride. What a mistake.
The barista was outright hostile: ignored my Lithuanian greeting, then English, then a tentative Russian query—just blank stares and silence. Only when I ordered in English did she grunt a response, her face screaming “you’re not welcome.” I scrapped plans for a pastry; I just wanted out.
The latte? Lukewarm milk with a whisper of coffee—maybe 1/5 of a proper espresso shot. Tasted...
