This is more than your classical Pizzeria, the owner has taken the time to carefully hand pick local, independent suppliers from southern Italy, to provide the guests with traditional Italian cuisine. This is not a place to grab a quick plate, but rather somewhere where you can easily pass 3 hours (or, in our case, more 😀), as you savour the tastes of each course, along with a refined, and inexpensive wine selection, or perhaps an Italian beer or 2. The atmosphere is relaxed, while not being too familiar, with that being said the entire team, from the owner & servers, to the chef & Pizzaiolo are on hand to happily provide information about the products and the preparation of the dishes. Note - definitely ask to taste their selection of flavored Olive oils 😉

The dog-friendly openness and the possibility to pick between the terrace and the main room, despite near - completeness. Half of the centre - Diekirch restaurants, including our target, were closed.
The responsiveness and behaviour of the chief waitor (or above?..) Francesco who was referenced to in some other reviews
We thought that he'd misheard "well-done egg" as he distanced himself having taken our order. . . . . . .we ended up with a pizza with two (2) well-done eggs. Bonus!

Yes, it was a busy evening, and we were ready to wait. But unfortunately, Trattoria La Perla completely forgot about our table. After an hour had passed, we had to remind the staff about our order — only then did they check it.
They promised to bring the food quickly after that, but even then nothing arrived. And we had only ordered two Bolognese pastas and two pizzas — not exactly complex dishes for an Italian restaurant.
After waiting for 1 hour and 45 minutes, we gave up and left without being served. A very frustrating experience that ruined...
