I really wanted to like this place as it is so close to my office. However, I have lived in Bangkok for more than 5 years and love all types of food. What I was served here was good to eat but not authentic. Their lunch menu is reasonably priced (for Luxembourg city). I ordered the simple yet delicious (if done right) Pad Kaprao with chicken which is stir fried chicken with basil. I do understand that not all ingredients from Thailand are available to prepare the food and I don’t mind them adding mushrooms or zucchini to this dish when normally there shouldn’t be but what I do mind is: it’s more of a dry dish and should not be bathing in sauce I requested Thai spicyness level but could barely feel any heat spicyness was achieved through the Sweet Chili sauce used so often in Europe. Now, this should not be in this dish. Real and fresh chili should be used and for extra spicyness, chilies with garlic in fish sauce should be served on the side.
The rice was good and the food was also good in its own, it just wasn’t what was advertised. What I ate could be a dish in any plain standard Chinese restaurant in Europe.
The staff at the counter and taking the order were Thai and should definitely know that what they are serving does not resemble the least the food you would be served in Thailand. Please, please just make the food as close as possible to the real thing, most people don’t want a Europeanized version of Asian food. Sadly, my quest for authenticity continues and while searching, cooking at home is still far better than anything I’ve...
Read morePatronised this establishment in a relatively large sized group. We were the practically the only customers in the restaurant. Despite that, the one other table of three and a number of other takeaway customers received their orders before us despite arriving after us. We had to wait 90 minutes! The longest I've ever had to wait at a restaurant! Even after enquiring at the 60 minute mark, they said the meals were coming out imminently yet still took another 30 minutes. We gave them the benefit of the doubt thinking that the meals were running late since the restaurant must have wanted to serve our meals at the same time! Yet they still managed to serve less than half the table! The rest of the table were yet to receive their meals whilst the others had finished eating! And to top it off, they still managed to make mistakes with my friend's orders! One friend who was allergic to mushrooms and eggs and hence asked for it to be omitted from her order, still received it. Another had the same issue with a prawns Pad Thai mixed up with a chicken Pad Thai. And to top it all off, the food was nothing to write home about; less than average, anodyne, overpriced, and far from authentic (I've visited Thailand on multiple...
Read moreFood ok for the price, but issues about the pricing for the lunch menù. Indeed, the printed lunch menù on our table (and other tables) reported 15.90 euro for the lunch. When we went to the cashier to pay, they charged us 17 euro each for the menù. We pointed out that the menu on the tables were mostly with 15.90 euro price, but the people working there told us that the 17 euro was written on the board on the wall and it was just a mistake that they did not update the price on the table menù. They apologised but they also laughed like it was funny to make such mistakes... Anyway they asked us to pay 17 euro, which is wrong. They should have asked for the visible price on the table menù....
