Dal Nigro — Restaurant in Steinfort

From the outside: This restaurant is quite easy to locate being near the main road however the doorway / entrance isn't so easy to spot. Could be doing with better signage on the entrance. On the Inside: Quite basic and rustic looking. Parking: Plenty of parking at the nearby P&R however it can be full and you may need to part a little away. Cleanliness: Can't complain about the cleanliness. Seemed pretty clean and fresh. Menu Options: A great menu with lots of fresh food options. They are lacking the beers on the menu so you need to ask about these. Pricing: Average meal is about €13 The Food: The day we visited they sadly had problems with the electricity and rather than advise that the pizza's would be affected for the worse by this they chose to serve us pizza that couldn't be cut, even with the sharper knifes we asked for. Very poor on this level. The gnocchi was nice as was the eggplant however. Other Comments: I'd give them one more shot but was saddened to see that even after complaining there was no discount or free drinks offered. 5 of 9 had the pizza and all complained. I was a bit scared because of the old bad reviews to be honest. BUT:

Super good experience. I went on a tight budget, and got zero attitude towards it. The service was incredibly fast, the meal was absolutely amazing and the coffee afterwards was very good as well.

They even gave me a small portion of potato omelette while I was waiting for the main dish, I was sceptical because I'm from Spain and that kind of omelette has to be VERY good for me to like it. I loved it.

The young lady and the young gentleman who served me were super polite and sweet. Absolutely recommended.

I just wish I came before, the best meal I had in a restaurant in Luxembourg by far, and the prices (specially for Lux standards) are pretty economic.

The insides are cozy and the terrace is super nice as well. Everything clean, very little noise outside of other customers.

Horrible experience. We went there for dinner, but we were in a hurry. We asked the server if it was possible to have quick service, and he said yes. The restaurant was completely empty, but the service took forever. My friend ordered meat that turned out to be completely raw in some places. Now he has an upset stomach! After eating we told the server about the uncooked meat and he just said sorry. We asked for the bill, and then waited for a long time. In the end we went to the server and asked to pay directly at the counter, and he actually said he forgot about us. There were less than ten people in the restaurant, us included, how can you forget to bring the bill to one of three occupied tables, especially when the guests have already complained about the food previously?! tl;dr : undercooked food, horrible service, ridiculous...
