Dapur Mama - Original Nasi Kukus — Restaurant in Bandar Indera Mahkota

Went to Kuantan for a site visit and my team chose this restaurant for lunch - twice. Very delicious and affordable price, I even think that I should pay more for my lunch. The piece of chicken that I got was big, so do all my friends. If I got bigger rice portion and more spicy sambal, I think it would be more satisfying for me though I am already happy with what I got. I opted for iced milo and let me tell you....... It tastes the exact same from milo vans that used to come to our school 😭 I only drank it after I finish my meal and I assumed that because of the ice melting, the taste would be less sweet just like any other drinks. But I was wrong and I still think it was the best part of my dining experience there 🤣

Dapur Mama offers drive thru service which I think is unique and convenient for people who do not want to leave their car. But I think the place would be highly congested during peak hours because it was not an open space area, rather just usual parking spots for shop lots out there. For lots of car coming in and out at the same time, that would frustrates visitors especially first timers.

The restaurant uses this alarm system which will notify you when your meal is ready. I noticed quite a number of modern cafes in Kuantan use this method.

The last thing I wanted to point out is that this could be an excellent family restaurant, but the ambience and seating arrangements cannot accommodate big crowds. They have a cafe upstairs that we could use too but it is not ideal for every families - because of the stairs.

Assalamualaikum Hyeee... It was my first time eating and go to Dapur Mama.. I go there with my mother and my younger brother, sister and also my neighbour because she drives us here 😂.. We ordered Nasi kukus and ice lemon tea for each of us.. The taste of the 'Nasi Kukus' was very delicious and different from what the others sold out there.. It is because it has their own originality... The price also affordable... Mostly people thats comes here are student and lecturer from UIA.. Dapur Mama also provide a discount for students on Wednesday only with condition they bring their matric card or what that shows that their are students and still studying... Their places also clean and have a discipline workers.. Their services also good and fast... Very recommended for those that want to eat and try Nasi Kukus... I will go again to Dapur Mama next time... That all that i have tp share with u guy.. Hope u guys will try it and u will not regret once u...

Great food. Gave a lower rating because there was only 1 person preping all the orders for dine in AND take away, so it was a bit slow. but the staff are kind and friendly. Kudos go out to your female cashier. She was very tentive on customers order. I went with my 8 year old daughter, i asked her if the ayam kicap menu was spicy or not, she did not hesitate to tell me the truth saying that it is especially for a child. so later i just ordered the ayam goreng berempah for my daughter. Unfortunately, i forgot to mention to have the curry separate and not poured onto the rice. So before my order was called, i rushed back to her to ask if i can have the curry on the side. She just smiled and aaid, i have already told them to have your daughters curry in a separate bowl on the side.

As a mom, i thought that this was very tentative to the customers.
