I've had three laksa in Miri within the last 24 hours and Madam Sim's is by far the best. Classic sarawak laksa taste (based on my experience of eating it for two working years in Kuching), generous portions, good-sized fresh prawns, warm and speedy service. Kolok mee strongly 'porky'.

Ridiculous Price! RM 4.00 for a bowl of tasteless kolok mee with no char-siu. What a stink! Would have given this place a 1-star if not for the other stall which serves decent Kuching laksa. Go there for the laksa and nothing else.

Hidden kopitiam. If you don't mind the small seating space it has one of the best fried noodles, kue tiaw and beehoon I've tried so far. The famous orang ulu fish rice porridge has also moved here from the old mosjaya location.
