🫘Jul 2024 Cantonese Mee Wantan Kicap 😋😋😋😋💸7 This Foo Chow Kolomee stall has a bit of a nomadic history, having moved from its original location opposite the airport to Morsjaya, and now here. Despite the relocations, it has retained a loyal following due to its distinctive kolomee with the rich aroma of pork lard and the unique red wine pork blood dish. I came back specifically for the Cantonese mee kicap and wantan, and I was delighted to find that the quality and taste remain consistently excellent. Take a look at the helicopter models and a variety of aircraft toys hanging from the ceiling. it's clear the boss has a passion for collecting unique items. The boss himself is quite handsome, sporting a retro hairstyle that adds to his charm.

Overall 3.5, really. I think the laksa was hyped up and I expected more. It was tasty, though. But only a tad above standard/mediocre. But I had a sample of my family member's food, who ordered kolok mee from one of the other stalls at this kopitiam, and it was good. I know it's like comparing apples and oranges. But if I were to come back to this place, which I'm not averse to, I'd go for the kolok mee.

Ah Beng's laksa was a champ for saving us the last bowls on a short layover in Miri. Their Sarawak laksa broth was aromatic & pungent, with a kicker of a belachan. So smoky as Sarawak laksa should be with great toppings. Nothing to complain. Kopitiam boss was super friendly and nice too. Do try!

Before coming, i met a local teen with his mom, who claimed this Ah Beng laksa is the best.

I decided to prioritize this. Despite having had a full meal earlier having ate the famous kolo mee, i came here to try this since I'm leaving for Singapore tomorrow and may not be back soon.

I was greatly rewarded. Even though i was full, this laksa tasted very good. The ingredients were fresh and generous.

I'll want to come here again when I'm back to Miri.

The boss, who is Ah Beng, is very friendly. I told him this is not the case in Singapore as the Ah Beng in Singapore is likely tattooed, & usually speaks Hokkien. This boss is very friendly, and shy.

The staff were extremely friendly and hardworking.

This is a...
