I stayed 2 nights in a single room with window. The room is big enough for 2 bags, not cramped, and well organized though basic. It's clean and comfortable. The shower is hot and well working. Because O asked for a room with windows, my room was on the road side so on the weekends can be a little bit noisy because of the many restaurants opened until the morning. They also own the ground floor restaurant that I didn't try but seems very nice; for that reason sometimes can be difficult to receive informations from the staff 'cause they are busy preparing and serving foods, but anyway they tried their best. What I can complain is only about the wifi: I couldn't get it inside my room, right outside it works quite good. They offered me to change room but I can't stay in a room without window, so I preferred to not change. Finally it's a good value for money. The area is really full of restaurant ant there are 3 convenience stores, its also not very far from Miri city centre and the bus station to move to other destinations is...
Read moreWe stayed here for one night and regretted it from the moment we arrived. Firstly, there is a very unfriendly and uninterested lady at the reception so you don't feel welcome at all. She is not even talking to your face, there is a window in between and you have to slide your money underneath to pay for your stay.. Then we got to the room and were "welcomed" there by several cockroaches. Then the bathroom was very small and there were still supplies from the previous guest. Not clean at all.||Lastly, we had booked this hostel via Booking and received a mail later in which Miri Budget Inn stated that we never checked in. Booking was asking us to verify this. I guess MBI hostel didn't want to pay the due commission to them. Very strange. We really recommend other travellers to STAY AWAY from Miri Budget Inn, there is nothing good about...
Read moreI only spent one night at Miri Budget Inn as it was a quick stopover, coming from Mulu and on my way to BSB, Brunei for a short visit. My 1 night stay was pleasant overall, and the room I stayed in was very comfortable & clean, including the bathroom, which had a hot water shower. The wifi also worked very well in the room. The inn is centrally located so there is an abundance of restaurants and convenience stores around it. There’s a restaurant downstairs that serves pretty good food. The inn is also across the street from a laundry shop, where I was able to get same day laundry done, since I just came back from a few days in Gunung Mulu National Park! The staff was helpful in arranging a taxi for me early the next morning to the bus station to get to Brunei. For the price, this was a great...
