Great atmosphere, easy parking, okay service from staff. Now time to get into the details a bit, decor or atmosphere, most important aspect for any restaurant would be to serve delicious food to their customer.

UPDATED REVIEW 1 FEBRUARY 2022 I am pleased to say that I have changed my impression of this restaurant after my not so impressive first visit last year. Granted, I have not attempted to reorder the same steak dish that I had issues with previously but in the two times I've revisited this place in January the food that I have ordered was delicious and of very good quality.

We've had 2 birthday celebrations here, and we were seated in the rear section (spacious and high ceilings with red brick and glass walls). This section was not yet open during my first visit last year as it was still under construction.

Long story short, food is good, prices are very fair (unlike some coffee shop chain in KK cough kopi ping cough with increasing prices and continued mediocre quality).

Nice place for a birthday celebration as well, although be prepared though as there will probably be at least 4 other person celebrating their birthday as well on whatever night you booked. Remember to get your cake and song out first!

OLD REVIEW (PLEASE SEE UPDATED ONE) Unfortunately the food was at best mediocre, for my dish at least and also one of our friend's (we ordered the Sirloin Steak and Rib Eye steak). They got the meat cooked condition wrong, I was supposed to have medium rare while our friend ordered hers well done, it got switched somehow and we ended up getting it the other way round. It's OK, no big deal, we can eat them no issues and didn't want to wait for a new order because we were starving.

Rib Eye (well done) was really really dry, for the price this was rather disappointing. Seasoning and taste were fine but when the meat is dry that's it, from "stuffing your face full" delicious meat turned into "oh god I have to finish dry thing because I don't waste food". Even the medium rare was rather dry, remember those cooking shows when they slice the meat the juices oozes out and everything? Yeah didn't happen here, wasn't expecting godly for the price but again, was rather disappointed.

Had a taste of my buddy's barbecue rib, that one was good. So maybe not that good in steak dishes but others should be fine. Had a taste of the mushroom soup, and the baked pasta/lasagne was also okay. Burger was also rather good (I've had better and for the price not too great).

Conclusion, just an okay place for eating, some dish are good, steak dishes as of time of this review I would avoid. barbecue ribs, and probably other Rib stuff maybe good. Drinks are average. Just coming here for drinks and hanging out should be fine though, it has a really nice atmosphere. It's just not for me and my...

Had a fun dinner with 15 of us at Happy Place Kolombong, gathering to celebrate three birthdays in one go. The place was perfect for a big group — spacious seating, good lighting, and a chill, casual vibe that made everyone feel comfortable (it’s a lil bit chilly 😂)

We ordered a variety of dishes ; burgers, fish & chips, chicken chops, lamb chops, and a lot more not shown on the pics. The burgers were juicy with fluffy buns and fresh toppings, definitely satisfying for the burger lovers among us. The fish & chips came with crispy golden batter and tender fish inside — it was a hit with the kids and adults alike. Portions were generous across the board, making it great for sharing.

Service was friendly and attentive despite our large group. Food took a bit of time to arrive (expected with 15 pax), but everything came out hot and fresh, and the staff checked in often to make sure we were okay. They even helped us organize the birthday cakes and candles without any fuss, which made the celebration feel smooth and special.

Overall, Happy Place Kolombong lived up to its name and recommendations — it was a cozy spot for gatherings, the food was tasty and portioned well, and the staff were accommodating. Would definitely consider coming back for future celebrations or group dinners. Will definitely come back...

Overrated just because of the environment. Not recommended to come in the afternoon because of the insufficient heat insulation mechanism.

The food are over priced too with the small portion. So let’s be fair why I personally commented the overall dinner experience is not price, quality and quantity-worthy.

Ordered a “Turf and Surf” that costs me RM78, and RM18 for a glass of white wine, expensive like rocket man. 3 small scallops and plus an overcooked well-well-well done meat. Can imagine how small the portion is and what sort of dried meat is being served?

For the whole night, only the waiter with mustache has the biggest smile on his smile. The rest of the waiters and waitresses are seemed to be in a bad mood. Probably someone need to tell them it’s an international language practice to “just smile and greet” even if you have a bad day.

Food served came wrongly. This is just a minor mistake but take note if we didn’t accept the food and in other scenario of that you have naggy and problematic customers, you wouldn’t make money and probably you’ll receive more complaint at the same time too.

I hate to write bad reviews and I rarely do that, but this restaurant need some changes in terms of food quality, and of course the overall customer dining experience. Sincerely from a local...

Firstly, its very packed during peak hours. I mean VERY PACKED! Have to wait like almost 15-20 minutes for the table and believe me, lots of other people waiting for tables too. Now, the food. Well we had some fish n chips, some fries, lamb chop and medium rare ribeye steak. Well the fish n chips were alright, nothing great to shout out about; the lamb chop was good for my liking and the portion was good ; the ribeye steak was okay too, done medium rare just like I asked, wish there were gravy for the steak tho(well I love gravy so dont judge me). Then, the drinks. The vanilla smoothie and pineapple smoothie thingy were great, the kid and his mom loved it BUT, I had ordered this berry slushie drinks and guess what they serve in? A plastic cup, shockerrrrrr. I mean a restaurant like this serve drinks in plastic cup and hey, the slushie cost about rm5 and I mean hello, you are not 7-ELEVEN, can you serve the drinks better in glass or anything? Overall, its a good place to have meals during special occasions. Service wise, they seems understaff because its not easy to ask the waiter come over and take order but other than that, its good.
