Puh Toh Tze Temple in KK is a Chinese temple, 10 min away from the city mosque (can be visited together).

There are 2 big halls, several smaller buildings around plus a pretty garden. It is very peacefully, especially as many people dare to come until here (as it's a bit outside the city centre)

โ€ข Opening hours: 8am - 5pm

โ€ข Daily

โ€ข Recommended time for visit: 30 min

โ€ข Free admission

โ€ข Transportation: the minivan that goes to Inanam (in front of Shangri La hotel) passes in front of the temple.

Pu Tuo Si Temple (also called as Puh Toh Tze Temple or Poh Toh Tse)is a Buddhist temple located off Tuaran Road in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia. The temple was built in 1980 with a statue of Guanyin located in the entrance. It is the main Chinese temple for the city. In 2013, the temple received a total of RM115,000 from the federal government to finance its on-going renovation.

The temple main hall is called Daxiong Baodian (ๅคง้›„ๅฎๆฎฟ). At the main altar, there is a big statue of Buddha, with a statue of Guanyin in the left and Da Shi Zhi...

It has a few small shrines within this temple so make sure you check them all out and pray for blessings while visiting all. The main entrance you will see a big tall goddess statue and up the stairs you will see a small shrine with the goddess guards statues. To the main hall area, behind and also backyard. Please visit them all and you will be amazed with the peacefulness that this temple offers. Amazing. There are toilets WC clean and new at the entrance and also...

Beautiful view, very peaceful and well maintained. There are many details on the walls and throughout the temple. The restroom is clean and this place is a little hidden sanctuary. Look out for signs and be respectful and follow the rules. You would need to take off your shoes prior to entering the sacred area with Buddha or other deities. A great place to explore to recharge your soul and mind.

The most remarkable temple that is a must visit on your bucket list. ๐Ÿฏ๐Ÿฏ๐Ÿฏ A tour guide stop by here and told us to go around this temple. Itโ€™s not a big temple as I expected, but a beautiful and natural environment around the temple. Whenever you go to this temple, always remember to pay respect to the Buddha. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป Free distributed books and CD/DVD provided there to learn about Buddhism. ๐Ÿ“•๐Ÿ’ฟ

That's why there seems to be a Puh Toh Si Chinese Temple(ๆ™ฎ้™€ๅฏบ) I've seen temples in Islamic countries, but I don't think there was anything special. There was no singularity other than the temple, which is often seen in Asian countries. It was so hard to watch it on a hot day My family may not have seen it properly because they are exhausted. (We visited in June. It was sunny but insanely hot.) If you believe in Buddhism, it's worth a visit. I don't think I was more impressed because my family is Christian. Rather than visiting Puh Toh Si China Temple, I recommend you to visit a place where you can feel Malaysian culture.
