Harvest Café — Restaurant in Borneo

The restaurant has a beautiful setup with a modern and minimalist concept — very appealing in terms of ambiance. However, there are several areas that need improvement.

The open kitchen setup causes loud noise from the exhaust blower and strong cooking smells, which can be unpleasant and even nauseating during dining.

The food options are quite limited. I ordered a medium-well steak, but it arrived looking more like medium-rare. The presentation was basic, just some salad leaves on the side. The chicken chop also appeared undercooked, despite being claimed as pre-cooked — it's quite obvious if you're used to cooking.

As for the service, it was disappointing. The waitress forgot to key in our order, even though we were seated right in front of the counter. The staff seemed more focused on chatting among themselves than checking on customer orders. Once they realized the mistake, they gave us a slice of cake as an apology — a good gesture, though their attitude remained rather cold.

Overall, the restaurant has potential, but improvements are needed in food quality and...

Order was take 12.58pm, restaurant a bit crowded, we had expected to wait 30minutes for the food. However around 1.30pm, few tables occupied with customers, waitresses didn’t came to check order also but gathered at the counter.

Requested to cancel the order around 1.40pm as already took long time to wait, waitress informed our orders otw. After 5 minutes, spaghetti came with extremely salty prawn balls, without cutlery. I thought waitress will took for us and I’m continuing to wait also. Lastly I’m went to counter request for cutlery.

A bit good news is my chicken chop came out before 2pm (actually 1.55pm).

Atmospheres chill but won’t go...

A nice place to chill.. feel the cool immediately upon entering from the blazing sun outside. The server was friendly and polite. The coffee's (Flat White) taste is nice and smooth to my liking (I don't feed with eyes). The cake (Sea Salt Crepe) was suggested by the server, one of the best here she said. It was okay for me. The taste reminded me of when I ate cheddar cheese slices during my childhood day. But the texture of the cream is smooth, despite the skin of crepe which is a little harden and dry.. But overall i give 4.5/5✨ for this cafe.. P/s: Their playlist is nice too!! Will definitely try their savoury...
