The Best Corner near HuaJoo Park — Restaurant in Borneo

A downright revolting and infuriating experience! Yes, there are decent stalls with good food here, but the one I ordered from was absolutely atrocious. And just to be clear, I’m talking about the kopitiam facing the main road, not the one facing the residential area.

I ordered "kacang ma with rice," and it was a complete disaster. The so-called "kacang ma" was utterly tasteless—bland soup, flavourless chicken, just pathetic. But that wasn’t even the worst part. The rice was spoiled—disgustingly rotten to the point that I had to spit out the first spoonful. My son confirmed it after tasting, and I regret even letting him do so.

I should have marched right back to that stall and shoved this disgraceful excuse for food in their faces, but I was too exhausted and decided to let it slide. But make no mistake—this is a serious health hazard. If I report this to the authorities, this kopitiam could be shut down temporarily, if not fined heavily.

I should have trusted my instincts when I noticed black specks on the rice—possibly mold. Absolutely unacceptable! I sincerely hope the owner or business license holder of this kopitiam sees this review and fixes this mess before someone ends up with severe food poisoning and takes...

The foodS, and I MEAN it with Sss because it is that Good!! The awesome choice of foods are definitely the very few place where all race can go have a bite and the fun facts on this place is it's open almost 24hours. By almost, meaning u can still hang at the shop have few drinks how late u wanted nobody said it's illegal for adults but if ur a kid or an adult take over taken any unauthorized medical prescription pills that's never approved by real medical personnel then I suggest going home to rest would be the choice. It's well located just facing the main road and not far next to an 7/11 hence kinda safe place to be if u had to wait. The over demanding food must be the fast food. Keeping very dish freshly cooked, well stored from any jet pejuang(lalat), dish will be as customer liking before moving to the next, dish that's almost finished will be set to a smaller plate to make room to new dish, food will be nice and warm or hot to serve no matter the time. -drinks water- tell me all that means nothing....... So go, have a try. Then maybe the tauke should make that suggestions for...

Update2: 15 September 2020. There's a laksa gem here managed by a worker (surprised). The bihun was springy and well-cooked, the broth could be better. The bihun itself is one of the best I've eaten. Goodness!

Update1: for the fast food, the price difference between one plate and another is unreasonable... Prices are covered with tag and the worker can quote as he pleases.. other customers and I looked at each other and questioned if he made a mistake in calculation. Hahaha. Won't order again.

Dinner. New kopitiam, also called The Best Corner, replacing Yes Cafe. No complaint. My parents like the kaciama RM8 as it tastes richer than any other place. Special pork soup (kueh tiaw) RM9 is big and good, with everything in it (fried shallots, minced pork, pork meatballs). Fried chicken is cheap RM2.20 for one, not bad for its price, so please keep it up. Chicken chop RM11 is slow but nice. Love the coleslaw and juicy chicken. Kopi C for RM2.20, teh bunga RM2. Not diluted. The chef worker at Fuzhou Cook stall looks very diligent and is commendable (the one with snapback). Good...
