📌Cendol Asli Pak Haji (Batu Feringghi, Penang)
This Cendol stall, which has been operating for over 10 years at Miami Green beach, is a favourite amongst family members enjoying a picnic by the sea. Patrons come all the way from Kedah and KL, and this stall tends to be most busy on weekends.
Pak Haji, the gentleman running this stall, recommended his signature Cendol to me - Cendol Durian Pulut. It very flavourful.. The durian flesh wasn't just the average durian - it was rich and creamy. I pondered at how he got his durians, especially since the durian season was long over. Pak Haji informed with pride that all his durians are sourced from Balik Pulau, in which during the durian season, he buys in bulk, freezes the durian flesh, and serves a daily portion of it in his cendol. If the supply of durian flesh runs out, customers just have to wait for the next durian season.
My colleague, Dr Harris, gave the Cendol Kacang a go. Just look at the rich 'santan' milk being mixed with 'gula melaka'. The pictures speak for itself.
Take note also that Pak Haji makes the 'cendol' from scratch. It's all home-made. The tangy and soft cendol strands are coloured by the pandan leaves he uses. The consistency of the cendol strands is perfect. It's a home-made recipe that's been passed down to him.

Not sure if the Sri Gombak branch is better. Will try it later.

Normal cendol is ok only (normal). I'm not too fond of the green cendol jelly here.
Though, view here is nice, and a few other food available at the stalls around, so should be good place to lepak having small bites...
