Tomorrow English Cafe — Restaurant in George Town

Always wanted to try out scotch egg so went into this restaurant after seeing someone posted in Instagram. It is spacious, cozy and air-conditioned. Seats are quite adequate, tables for both big and small groups are available.

Ordered their scotch egg and iced americano. Plain look from the outside but when you cut it into half, you can see a perfectly cooked soft-boiled egg with pinkish wall of pork.

The scotch egg was seasoned in the simplest way ever, salt and pepper. Yet, the taste was so good. The meat wall (minced meat) was tender, moist, juicy, with slight hint of sweetness. And the outer layer was crunchy with bread crumb (i supposed). The egg yolk inside was about 3/4 cooked, showing beautiful orange-yellowish colour, and the white is solid. Enjoyed the food.

2nd visit: Tried their signature breakfast, earl grey burnt cheesecake and The Elvis's tartine. Bacon streaky in their breakfast was fantastic. Earl grey burnt cheesecake (one of the bestseller) was not bad. Although their banana and peanut butter (with nips) tartine was really good, matching it with a slice of pork shoulder is abit...

Note that the display showing fake baked good have insects crawling in the glass cabinet. Alerted the owner but she calmly said that the fake items are made with flour thus the bugs will show up after some time. 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ Wow really not bothered about the impression on the restaurant. 😱😱😱

This is my first time having lunch here with my team of 12pax. Super disappointed.... The pies tasted of nothing special but salt. No taste of herbs or spices. The pies all came hot outside but cold inside. Poor knowledge on how to warm up frozen pastries. Pies were reheated but some of the crust was burnt and they still serve it up to us. Hard to consume. Mushroom soup took the longest to be served after numerous follow up. The taste was horrible, no mushroom taste and it tasted like it's about to spoil, like going to turn sour. Salted Hotel chocolate drink came with a chipped cup and had nothing salty. Super disappointing.

Not returning as the price is not worth the...

my boyfriend and I left the cafe very disappointed. We ordered the classic english breakfast with additional black pudding and bangers & mash. Service was slow, we waited for 45 minutes for our food. The bangers & mash came first, we were disappointed with the taste of the homemade sausages as they were very dry. I did not even finish my sausages because they were that bad to the taste. Then came the english breakfast, first look we were already disappointed yet again because it already wasn't a bang for our buck (RM49!!). There was barely any baked bean, 2 measly mushrooms, a strip of bacon that tasted like a spoon full of salt at every bite, same type of dry sausages and to top it off black pudding that did not even tasted like black pudding (tasted like charcoal). The whole place didn't even remind me of Manchester or anything English at all. Don't charge customers so much and leave them...
