Kautim Foodcourt Melaka — Restaurant in Hang Tuah Jaya Municipal Council

Discovered this new spot for roti canai near Ayer Keroh Melaka Mall. The roti is served with asam gravy and carries the same “Awang” name as the famous one opposite Sekolah Rendah Bukit Beruang. I’m not sure if they are related, but the taste is remarkably similar.

This new stall is located inside a food court, though many stalls aren’t open during the day. The area is spacious, relaxed, and parking is much easier compared to the original shop. I might be wrong, but the roti canai here also seems slightly less oily while still tasting almost the same. The service is also very pleasant too with friendly crews.

What I love most is that they offer ikan kembong — my favourite — and it’s more affordable than the other outlet, which only serves pricier fish options. Overall, a great place to visit if you’re craving roti canai with asam gravy — not the usual mamak style, but that delicious...

Order char kue teaw manis macam letak gula satu plastik. Set tomyam, tomyam macam letak paste adabi, ikan siakap 3 rasa macam asam pedas, sayur goreng terlebih masin. Harap cari tukang masak lebih baik ataupun hantar tukang masak yang ada pergi kelas memasak. Menu boleh upgrade sikit buat ala carte much better dari set. Tempat okay open tapi ramai pula yang merokok. Minta owner tegur bolehh pulak tanya balik nak kena buat apa. Kita yang dah sesak nafas ni rasa nak blah je tapi fikir dah masak. Pertama kali datang sini untuk tapau (take away), beli Nasi Goreng Pattaya, Nasi Goreng Cili api, Char Kuewtieu Ayam, Kuewtiue Sup. Portion makanan banyak boleh untuk hidangan 2 orang. Harga standard. Pelbagai gerai/stall makanan yang ada seperti asam pedas, western food, satay, goreng-goreng, set family dan nasi lemak. Kalau dari segi rasa makanan boleh bagi rating 4/5 rasa ala-ala kedai kampung. Suasana tempat makan agak biasa cuma kalau boleh perlahankan sedikit audio/live band.
