东甲咖啡店 Tangkak Kopitiam — Restaurant in Johor

The food quite OK but we have unpleasant experience here. A few points to share with you as following.

1. If you all want customer to scan QR code to order, please show the instruction clearly for example paste the QR code at each corner of the table or etc. It was a very small QR code standing on the table. People hard to see it especially we have a big group of people with a long table.

2. The food code number on the menu is different from the app. When you use code number from menu to search from the app, it was unable to search out. We seek help from staff then only realised the number is different. A few food got different code, not only one.

3. If the food is unavailable, please show the food in the app and marked as unavailable so at least your customer is aware. We are not able to search out the food and seek help from staff. Then only they told us the food is unavailable.

4. Too many flies. We can't really...

Service could be improved (as most of the waiters could not understand what we wanted, maybe also because we're not locals). We dropped by due to heavy traffic jam at Lebuhraya Utara-Selatan.

The Yeemee (焖伊面) and the Pumpkin-Cheese sauce Rice (forgot what its name is) were good. We even requested more sauce for the Rice as the rice was kinda big portion but dry, and they did provide, we were kinda happy with it 🤣 but was kinda disappointed at the drinks - the Hokkaido milk tea, tasted weird 😅 but the soda drinks and lemonade were okay.

I passed by a few times using this road and got the chance to dine here. I always wonder why so many people come to this place and experience myself with my Big Sis from Singapore. We both agree that this place offers a unique atmosphere which is cosy, cooling, airy and well decorated settings. Food and drink wise offers great varieties and delicious. This place is highly recommended for gathering friends, family and business. Note: you might need to hunt for parking space nearby and tend to pack with customers during peak hours.
