60 Lauk Abang Bob — Restaurant in Johor

My wife found this at Food Panda so after reading so many great reviews about it we went to see it ourselves.

Lo and behold! The place is fantastic! Great environment and suitable music as well. But TBH we kinda skeptical (about the restaurant) at first because only one person dining in when we arrive. They're preparing lunch dishes when we arrive around 10 AM but breakfast dish like soto, lontong, laksa and even satay are available to order.

We ordered Soto, Lontong, Laksa Johor and Kopi O Kosong.

The soto has great soup! The sambal is a must when eating soto to make it taste better.

The lontong also has great broth. My wife enjoyed it.

The laksa tasted good. When I put the lime juice and sambal belacan it tasted even better!

Perhaps the portion is less than what we used to with other restaurants but I guess my appetite was built different 😂.

The coffee is SUBLIME. It's way different than those in Rengit Coffee in BP Mall. It made me want to come here again.

I was exposed to Station Pak Ngah's kitchen and was disgusted by flies that rested on their food during preparation. I have raised it to the owner, but he was not at all concerned. There were occasions where I found dead flies in the food as evidenced in the photo; the fly was found in the Assam Pedas broth. Me and my friends got food poisoning from their food and will never visit this...

Aku pelanggan setia Pak Ngah. Aku ambil maklum, harga dia mmg ada mahal sikit, tapi aku terima, sebab lauk dia sedap-sedap.

Sebelum ni pekerja dia yg kurus-kurus tu akan datang meja ke meja untuk kira harga makanan kita. Cuma semenjak anak tauke ni join jaga kedai, harga melambung.

Kadang kita ni nak rasa-rasa sayur ni sikit sayur tu sikit, lauk ni sikit lauk ni sikit. Kadang tu portion tak sampai sesenduk pun. Sebelum ni dgn pekerja tu, ok je dia timbang rasa. Kalau ambil sedikit dan sedikit, harganya sedikit la.

Tapi bila anak dia yg kira, fuh. Terbang. Semua lauk yg kita ambil walaupun sehelai dua, dia kira portion penuh. Gila. Aku rasa dulu bapak dia pun tak kejam macam dia ni kira.

Overall, rasa dia memang win. Champion. Tapi harga dia boleh buat orang lari siut. Pengsan nak makan hari2 kalau gini.

Harap mesej ni sampai ke pihak kedai. Control sikitlah cara kira harga tu. Timbang rasa namanya mat, tak rugi pun kau berlebih kurang, sudah namanya nasi campur kan. Kalau kau memang nak fix harga dan sync dengan sistem, apa kata kau tolong cedokkan je semua nasi dan lauk macam kat...
