Anjung Senibong Restaurant — Restaurant in Johor

This was our first time dining here, and I brought two friends, hoping to give them a good experience in JB. Unfortunately, I ended up recommending the worst dining experience.

Service & Waiting Time · We waited almost 40 minutes for our food, only for the wrong order to arrive. · There was constant confusion with seating arrangements, and instead of managing it properly, the staff blamed customers. Why not give table numbers before seating them? If they move, just follow their number. To make this as an excuse to delayed service is unacceptable. · During peak hours, I noticed small groups occupying large tables while better- suited tables were available. Of course, customers will move to a more comfortable spot, plan your seating better.

Ridiculous Delays · All our dishes arrived except for the rice. Despite multiple requests, the staff kept saying, "Sekejap ye" (Just a moment) but that moment lasted 20 minutes. · Then came another 20-minute wait for plates, spoons, and forks. Why can't you complete one task properly before moving to another table?

Staffing Issues · This place is clearly understaffed, and it's painfully obvious. · The female staff was at least trying, she was running around responding to multiple calls. · The male staff? Completely useless. Ignored customers as if he didn’t see them. Jadi Pondan la

Food Quality · The only good dish was the fish, everything else was not worth the price. · The tomyam soup was bland and watery, not because it had gone cold, but because it was poorly made to begin with.

I was here on a Saturday night hoping for a crowd but place was so quiet that it became so eerie. I ordered butter prawn, cockles, capcai (mixed vege) and black pepper crab.

1. Butter prawn - I have tasted a so much better tasting butter prawn and it was from a normal food stall and not a restaurant. Dish was almost tasteless!

2. Cockles - We ordered 500g (lucky us!) and ended up eating less than 10 pieces of it. Cockles shell were black (obviously they did not scrub off the dirt before cooking it), smelly and full of sand. We told the lady at the counter and fortunately she did not charge us for it.

3. Capcai - Only vege inside. No other protein in it. Be warned. I know its a mixed vege dish but what I've had at other stall comes with snall prawn and squid.

4. The only seafood that's fresh as i chose the most alive looking. But sadly the dish was ruined by the black pepper sauce. Tasted like bottled black pepper sauce drowned the crab.

Overall, it was a bad experience for me. It was my first time there after a friend's recommendation. Food was horrible and service was even worst. Most of the staff were busy sitting down chit chatting than serving customers. Definitely be my last visit there and will definitely not recommend anyone going there. Don't...

Really not recommend to come here. we came here on saturday night, 6th april 2019 with 1 family total of 8 person. we ordered set cost of rm 350. with that price we expect a very good food to be serve. But turn out fish we got was already burn and cause very hard texture as per below picture. whipe another 1 fish was very oily. seems like it was soaked with oil.

Beside, table arrangemnt was really bad. very narrow between other table..because of too pack, even their worker also stuck and no cofidence to bring food whenevr they want to pass through our table. 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ This restaurant did not think about customer comfortable at all. we really did not enjoy our time to eat there.

when we go to cashier for payment, their worker did not even ask either the food is ok or not..is their service is ok not..something like that..but nothing...
