Read moreWe went there last night (June 28th, 2017). We were lucky to get a table for 8 despite not making a prior reservation. Considering that many people are still on their Raya holiday and also the next door restaurants are still closed. We arrived there at around 9:00 pm. We finished ordering our food and drinks at around 9:20pm. The food only arrived at 11:00pm.
The food was good. The watermelon juice was too sweet (they probably sweetened it with cane sugar). But the ray dish they serve was just so good. It doesn't have this distinctive smell you get when you eat rays. The mussels we ordered were fresh but the sauce was not to my liking. The fish (seabass) dish we ordered was good too.
Generally, they should increase the level of cleanliness of that place. The were red ants on the railings near our table. Thank God no one got bitten. The busboys could have been more friendly and tactful. They were not careful enough to let my frail grandmother and I to pass through. They were too focussed to get their tasks done that they simply walked pass us. They should have given us way. One of the female servers was not friendly at all. Not smiling and she just plopped the dish on our table. I was not happy about that.
They should improve the children's play area. It's in a...
Read moreNice place to watch sunset while enjoying delicious seafood. It overlooks the Johor Strait and you can clearly see a Singapura port. This place also offers exotic seafood like frozen Alaskan crab and fresh Nipah crab alongside common seafood. Be ready to pay premium price for Alaskan crab. Roughly about RM260 per piece. Yet the crab is big enough for 8 pax, provided it's served as soup like meals not fried meals. Since it's frozen and takes time to reach Malaysia, the taste of the Alaskan crab itself is already bland. However, the cooking recipe makes the whole meal delicious. The Nipah crab is really fresh and meaty. The flesh is still intact after being cooked. So you can bite a satisfying portion after cracking off the hard shell. Otherwise you can enjoy normal seafood at affordable price. For us, now that we've already tasted frozen Alaskan crab, next time probably we just feast on Malaysian seafood which is still fresh and sweet. The staff are friendly and can advise you the suitable cooking recipe for each seafood taht you select. For muslim, there is a nearby Masjid, about 10m...
