Chang9 Thai Cuisine — Restaurant in Johor

The food is good; however, I would like to point out some concerns regarding the service crew’s lack of leadership and insufficient manpower.

We placed our orders and waited for over an hour, but the food and drinks still not arrived. The restaurant was not crowded—only a few tables were occupied. We observed that there were only two waitress and they lack clear instructions or coordination. Wrong dishes were delivered to customers, and orders were mixed up between tables.

Some customers had to serve themselves, taking their drinks, food, and tableware due to the lack of staff support. There was no clear leadership to manage the workflow. When multiple dishes were ready and customers were waiting, the waitress were instead cleaning tables—even though no new customers were arriving. The overall job coordination seemed disorganized.

This is based on first time and the only visit. I ordered green curry chicken with roti. The serving is quite fast, but only the curry. The curry comes with a candle to keep it boiling. I raised my hand first time, the staff seem like "I do not see you". Then I raised second time and I noticed the staff look at me, but the staff didn't attend to me. Before I raised my hand third time, the candle already finished and the curry already turn lukewarm. The staff attend to me after third time I raise my hand, and couple minutes later the staff bring out the roti. What the heck is this kind of service. We came here today for dinner to this restaurant to celebrate my younger brothers 50th birthday. The ambience was ok but the food was so so. Unfortunately, we won’t be coming here for the Thai cuisine as the food was not authentic. This is coming from me (a person who has migrated to Thailand).
