Vanilla Bean — Restaurant in Johor

Dropped by for breakfast. Price (which is expensive) is taken into consideration when scoring. Ordered the beef burger, banger and mash, and 2 cups of coffee.

Burger patty tastes bland and unseasoned, fries were ok, hot chilli sauce is nothing special and abit too spicy and overpowers the bland burger. Did not experience any culinary effort.

Nothing special about the coffee.

Banger and mash arrived 15 minutes later which is not acceptable, as the burger is getting cold. At 11am on weekend they haven't prepared mash so we accepted fries instead. The sausages were overdone, dry and wrinkled. The dish looks unappetising, colourless and unappealing. There are no garnishes or sauce to complement the dish.

Fork was not in the cutlery tray and the waitress was not attentive enough - we had to ask for it. Water is self served. It's near the marina but there are no views, cafe is generally clean but for this price abit more could've done especially along the edges of the floor.

If this meal was priced around rm 60-80 (for 2) we would be more forgiving. But at RM115, we won't be...

We visit the shop on Sunday 24 Sep 2PM and was very surprised with the deliciousness and freshness of the strawberry shortcake. We ordered total 3 slices of strawberry cakes and 1 cup of iced americano. To be honest, despite the tastefulness of the cakes, we were quite disappointed with the not so well presentable packaging （photo attached) despite we spent total around RM80. The waitress on duty prepared the cakes, packaged in plastic bag and left it on the counter top for more than 5 minutes without informing us our take away package is ready for collection until we stand up and ask whether the plastic bag left on the counter top more than 5 minutes belongs to us, and she simply said “Yes”.

My overall experience with the shop is excellence and hopeful the owner would takes this review seriously and improve the presentation and service level to stay competitive in this market.

We are return customers who have return to purchase multiple times but this time we are truly disappointed and will definitely return another time...

The aglio olio fettuccine was too salty, poor my girl, the worst birthdays treat ever. Not recommended at all. I actually visited a month ago, but after saw influencer posts about their fake reviews in ig I decided to write this review here. Please all influencers out there, don't give fake reviews. This cafe food too expensive n the tastes bad n worst. Could u imagine they dare to serve kids salty food? I already tell them that's meal for my kid. In my mind i just think how come they dare to serve it, when I arrive there only us n the staff was 3 or 4 people, didn't they tasted it before served? Are they too bz until cant taste food? I forced my sister to eat n try to finish but we couldn't, too salty. Luckily i just bought a meal for taste because our first time here. It's such a waste when u pay high prices for worse food. Definitely never come again. The worst experience in JB. Not recommended place ever. Please don't support this kind of people, never responsible for serving food. Really...
