Had the pleasure of dining at "Delicious 8," and the breathtaking view of the marina stole the show from the moment I walked in. The delightful ambience set the perfect tone for an enjoyable dining experience.

My experience left me with mixed feelings. While some standout dishes truly delighted my taste buds, there were a couple of disappointments as well. First and foremost, the fresh Marble Goby fish at Delicious 8 deserves all the praise it can get. The succulent and tender flesh of the fish was cooked to perfection, and the flavours were simply outstanding. It was evident that the restaurant takes great care in sourcing the freshest ingredients, which truly paid off in this dish. The Double Flavour Chicken was another highlight, offering a delightful combination of flavours and textures that left me craving more. However, not all dishes lived up to our expectations. The Ostrich meat in Black Bean Sauce and the Venison with spring onions and ginger were let-downs. The meats in these dishes were overcooked and lacked the tenderness that one would expect. It was disappointing to see such premium ingredients not treated with the same care as the Marble Goby fish and Double Flavour Chicken. On the brighter side, I highly recommend trying the Dragon Supreme Platter. This dish was a true showstopper, with various flavours and ingredients working harmoniously. I went for many seafood Zichar in JB, got a recommendation for this place. This is by far one of the more pricier ones I been to. It is seasonal pricing, on 4th Apr: Crab: 24rm / 100g Lobster: 58rm / 100g Yes it is very pricey.

Let's talk about the food: Duck was dry and skin was not crispy, kind of bland too the butter sotong, veg and tofu craypot to me is normal, nothing amazing but decent. lobster, tried the steam garlic flavor, it was very fresh and delicious, one of the better ones. Then again the price was at 58/100g. The lobster in the pic was ard 1.2kg (700+rm - very meaty though.

Let's talk about the service: Fantastic - we didn't need to wait long for food, very attentive there was like 2-3 different staff serving us constantly.

Let's talk about the atmosphere: There is a jetty view at least, you are not facing other tables if you are outside. In terms of the jetty view, nothing fantastic like that of other seafood houses near the coastal area. I did not go to their 2nd floor lounge, looks happening.

Conclusion: If the seasonal price is around this premium of the price, I am afraid there are way more places with better price point, flavours...
