Grand almizan BBU — Restaurant in Johor

My personal view and review:

Location : From Jalan Skudai, you could see this outlet. Nearby Angsana.

Parking : There are a lot of parking spaces, and i dont think you won't get any parking.

Food / Product : specializes in Satay, but they also serve others.

Staff : Friendly, but some times the way they explain make you confused. i.e. during my visit (for break fast) one of nice staff expalain about the cuisine they serve for break fast (buka puasa) but she not clearly informed (or perhaps i am not listening) that need to order at the counter. End up i am waiting at the table and scanning the menu QR code, which also leads to the menu that can order online. Huhu.. i waste my time awaiting once the staff info that QR only for order after 8pm. Arghhhj

Price : price wise, a bit pricy on the menu, but once you get the order, you might be surprised as the portion is quite big. i.e., i am ordering Ayam Tempayan, which is actually half chicken.

Seats / accommodation: available and possible to accommodate 50pax indoor.

Amenities: surau & toilet available

Environment: quite OK.

Nasi briani is actually so so and not as good as i have in other outlets. But still OK

Satay.. pls dont compare with satay Kajang or Willy @ Kajang. If you expect that kind of satay you will be...

Visited this place on Saturday 18 Jan 2019 around 9:30pm.

After an exhaustive trip early that evening, I was brought here by my relative for dinner. They said that this place is one of the famous local eateries that served good voluminous food. :D

They have around 7++ major menus and we ordered 4 of it including satay. Satay arrived too late.

I got Nasi Goreng Kapal Selam (Nasi goreng Pattaya + paprika). To my disappointment, the dish was sweet. Sugary sweet.

The vegs/meat were blanched in hot water, then to assemble the paprik, they simply mix the sweet ketchup with the blanched item and pour it over the nasi goreng Pattaya. I didn't see the cooking, but that's how I perceived it, this food is lacking in taste.

I tasted my relative's meal, Mee goreng Mamak special + Telur mata. One bite was enough. They're sweet, not savoury.

The Satay Daging was good, you get to see, smell, and taste the hot char/grilled meat, so tender with sweet marinade, but the Satay Ayam, it should never be like that man! Borderline room temperature. And the satay arrived late. Pfft.

Tell me what brought the crowd here? Good food? Not to me. Good chill...

Memang satay Almizan ni sedap. Has been their customer since day one they start operating. But recent time their staff attitude behaviour need their owners attention. I hope owner of the business can take some actions. Today scenario came to place order for take away and mentioned to the cashier that i will wait in the car ( since i have a small child) which was just infront of the shop and she said okay and few minutes later she told the floor staff to go and give the order to me but she refused and came infront of my car and was just smiling for no reason - she could have told me the order is ready for me to take - i wouldnt mind stepping out to pick my order but instead i waited and waited not knowing what was actually happening and i saw the cook ( foreigner staff) a male staff came and give me the order because the order was there for too long . I just want to tell the kakak if she reads this review ( please dont work in f&b line if you cannot be hospitable) - customer comes first dont forget that .- whatever goes up will come down eventually. Remember . Time for me to look for another satay shop . But not this...
