Happy Land Cafe - 七里香 Nasi Lemak — Restaurant in Johor

The ice kacang and CKT are worth going back again as the red beans are big and generous portion per bowl. The fried kuey teow with cockles is so good. Only the fried chicken is tasty and succulent inside but not the nasi lemak which I give only a 5/10- the rice though has fragrant is too wet n mushy. The chilli sauce is off, no ikan bills at all n just a few drops of roasted peanuts. Totally no cucumber at all, so an unbalanced meal of no greens at all. Rojak is ok like a 6/10 as the youtiow is not toasted enough & not enough of the grounded peanuts but too much of the prawn sauce. Only 2 good ones- the ice...

One of the best ABC (ais batu campur) or the shaved ice dessert. First time I heard about it, I couldn’t dessert could be any good as compared to what I usually have. But once I tried this one, especially the one “Ice kacang ice cream with chocolate topping”, it is so good and unforgettable. Then I continue to visit once or twice per month.

Some might not like the milky texture, so it’s still up to personal preference. Some said it’s the best in jb...

Happy Land is located at a row of shop houses that are mostly quiet... except when you drive nearer to Happy Land, the car park lots will be full and cars and all jammed and double parked. This place is filled with people, mostly locals all enjoying their food together. The popular stores are the nasi lemak and dessert store which has been an institution there for years. I guess the locals do not have too many options nearby and this is a convenient watering hole for them...
