I love this place, and if you love simple places, a bit off the beaten path, so will you. It’s in a quiet neighbourhood which is perched on stilts above a tidal swamp. You can’t see the sea from the restaurant, but in many ways, you can feel its presence.
This place is famous for its mee hoon and fish, but really, everything is pretty good. The key is timing. I find 6pm is the best time to appreciate what they have to offer. The sun is about to set, the day is beginning to cool, the light is right and the pans are at the proper temperature!
I have been countless times, and I have never been disappointed. This last time was extra special because it was the first time back since before COVID-19, and I took the new bridge just on the other side of Tuas which makes Kukup really close and accessible now!

Read moreCame here on a Monday evening. We ordered their speciality mee hoon, fish in yam soup, oyster omelette, stir fry veges. Service was quick as we were among early dinner crowd. Dishes were cooked and served quite fast. Food wise, the oyster omelette has huge oyster and omelette was yummy for us. Fish in yam soup was also flavorful and not too salty. Other dishes was ok ok. The dining environment is in open air, not much wind because it is not near jetty. After dining we can visit this temple just 100m ahead, climb up to the top of the temple for an awesome view.
Overall a good experience, will come and dine here again on...
